"The service was terrible! To start with there was no one staffing the check-in. I guess an unmanned front desk saves money, but it was a pain since you were expected to have a cell phone, which I do not have. I came instead with a confirmation printout from when I first made the reservation. Check-in was eventually resolved through a video conference using provided equipment. The awkward automated check-in process could be excused as a money saving feature. However, the worst service came...

"Never been to Tipton IA before. The next time we go through, we will be staying at this location. It was quiet. Well kept. Staff was very friendly. Clean. Amenities were just what was needed. Don't need over the top for a comfortable stay. We only stayed for one night, but we will be stopping again. It was homey and comforting. Something somewhat lacking these days."

"Unfortunately after checking in, discovered a bed bug and contacted Expedia for refund as there was no way we were staying there. The front office was already closed and Expedia hasn’t been able to get ahold of the hotel to get my money refunded. It’s been almost a week and no update on status. I wanted to support since it’s a veteran owned business but service response has been terrible and the cleanliness was less than desired."
