"We stayed here for one night after a day in Winchester. A nice enough hotel, with staff pleasant enough. The room we stayed in was small but well kept. The main issue we had was that the room was that next to a staff run through, meaning doors were slammed constantly. Further, there was no air conditioning, and the room we were in at the bottom floor was next to a busy beer table and had lots and lots of mosquitoes, meaning we were bitten to heck! "No response to emails either direct to the pilot boat or via hotels.com; entry requirements not provided in advance and when provided were not the same as advertised. 2 promises to provide the door code by text were not fulfilled. Breakfast advertised but not provided. Room well supplied but cold on arrival and didn’t warm up until en of day 2. The bed was comfortable but we have stayed in previous years and the service is not as good now. "

"Our stay was for a couple of days to attend a Wedding in Winchester. St John’s Croft is ideally placed within 5 minutes easy walk of the town centre, with on site parking at the property. "A beautiful house in a lovely location. My room was extremely comfortable, as was my bed. The bathroom was great, with a powerful shower. Breakfast was fantastic, and the owners waited for me when I arrived late from the ferry coming in to Portsmouth, which I hugely appreciated. A lovely, peaceful B&B. "
