"It was a delight to stay in the Shoe which I saw for so many years on the way to visit my extended family in Reading, PA from Baltimore. Enjoyed the design of the shoe house and there was something quaint about the rooms that made them comforting. The hot tub and fire pit were nice additions. The host was very responsive. It was a delight!"

"This was my second time at this cottage and hope to stay again. It rained the whole time! But, with such a cozy place to read and relax, listen to the rain and enjoy the ambiance it was lovely. I walked for a nice dinner at the Hideaway. I walked to Mt Gretna Mercantile for a few treats and always enjoy chatting with the sweet owners. I had an incredible lunch at Porch and Pantry. All without getting in my car. I highly recommend!"

"This little cottage is located in a very cute little WALKING community. There is no parking at the property. The listing says "Free parking a short walk away." I guess this depends on what you define as a "short walk." There are several options for parking and the closest two lots were full when I got there, so it's very inconvenient to load/unload and very confusing to figure out in the dark when I arrived with the instructions given. "This place was amazing! It has such a sense of calm and peace and was perfect for our family get-together. The bedrooms were spacious. We appreciated the snacks and whoopie pies provided. Derrick responded quickly to our questions about some light switches. It was convenient to our sightseeing adventures in the Lancaster area.
