"We frequently choose older motels that cost less. We look closely at their photos, and if it looks updated and clean we choose it. Usually we find it is owned/managed by an immigrant family, frequently from the Subcontinent, and they do an excellent job with the older property. The Royal Inn in Hudson, Wis., is such a place. It was very clean, the air conditioning worked well on a hot day, parked right in front of our room. Convenient location."

"This hotel is garbage, I DONT RECOMMEND this to my friend. We paid almost 500$ for 2 nights and then our deposites got deducted another 40$ because they think we’re smoking. Which is we’re not. My husband and I bought a candle for our special night . And then 60$ more because of the bed sheets have stain on it. And the shampoo and soap I don’t have nothing to say .What f kind of hotel is this. Don’t used this hotel for your vacation . NOT GOD AT ALL."

"I have never had to request a new room until this stay. The room smelt terrible like cigarettes and fried food. We requested a new room as the smell was nauseating. The second room was dirty- stains on bedding, hair in bathroom sink, and looked like soda had sprayed all over the nightstand. The gentleman working the counter was helpful and apologetic."
