"Our vacation 2025 in Lacombe, LA was one for the books for sure, seen and experienced things we never thought we would get to see and do. We have so many memories that we will cherish for a lifetime. The home was so beautiful and peaceful being on the water. We got to see alligators every day while we were staying. The home was so much more beautiful and awesome, the pictures do not show the true beauty this home offers. Laura the host, was the best host ever!! She provided just about everything...

"Great scenic location on Lake Pontchartrain, Slidell was a pleasant surprise to us out of towners, would have considered spending more time in town of we didn’t have such a packed weekend. Not too bad of a drive into New Orleans, but if using ride/share car service just know to look ahead at pricing and budget accordingly.Very spacious, great kitchen amenities and a nice pool. Sleeps 22 but do take note there are 12 beds. Bring your own soap to shower but over all very nice place and good...

"This beautiful house had everything and more! The beds were so comfortable both my cousin and I dreaded returning to our own beds in Texas and Colorado! We slept like 20 year olds. The entire house was immaculate, and the kitchen was stocked with better utensils and pottery than I own. I have 1 suggestion for coffee lovers -- you need at least 2 larger coffee cups for your coffee maker, lol. Thank you for providing such a long-awaited and needed restful vacation abode. "We arrived around 10:30 at night. The neighborhood was fine, but the actual house was not. Once we got inside it 93 degrees, windows were open, and the place was not clean. In addition, there were two fire alarms beeping constantly. I reached out to the owner and didn't hear back for 24 hours. The response was to disassemble the fire alarms or remove the batteries. "We first went to the wrong door because we didn’t expect to be staying in a house where the outside had grass and weeds waist high, vines from the ground growing up onto the porch When we got to the house next door we tried the code which would never work because it was the wrong house picked up the phone and called the number on reservation which the renter refused to pick up and speak only willing to text. A roach from the outside shrub attached to my pants which I had to exit the house to get...

"unfortunately, we reserved this property for myself and my three children as we were bringing in my son’s birthday. When we walked in the property, there was a roach in the master bath, the main door was not clean, there was a smell and mildew. There was visual mildew around the guest bathroom.. for the property managers request. I provided pictures of evidence upon check-in and received. No urgent communication.. unfortunately we lost our money and have not heard back from the property manager...

"Nice, quiet setting with beautiful deer. My kids enjoyed swimming in the private lake and getting to feed the deer. My husband enjoyed picking blueberries. "
