Guest Access:

As a guest of Boat House, you have access to the entire home: one bedroom, one bathroom, the living room with open-plan kitchen, and the outdoor area. You can also use the communal pool. There is on-site parking and a private entrance. To warmly welcome you and explain the accommodation and our beautiful island, we personally handle all arrivals. The Sunwise hosts of Boat House will coordinate with you about your arrival time.



The Neighborhood:

Laguna Marina is the man-made lagoon between Kralendijk and the airport, a waterside area perfect for relaxed living and easy island exploring. The sheltered waters suit kayaking and paddleboarding, while beaches, dive sites, and restaurants are all within convenient driving distance. It feels tranquil yet close to Kralendijk's amenities, offering a well-balanced base for your Bonaire stay.



Boat House is approximately 2.6 kilometers from Van den Tweel supermarket, 550 meters from Dive Friends Port Bonaire dive center, 750 meters from Te Amo Beach and Donkey Beach, 550 meters from the airport and 1.9 kilometers from Sebastian’s Restaurant.



Sunwise insider tip: A day in Washington Slagbaai National Park is a must. This rugged reserve offers two driving loops: a longer coastal route past Playa Chikitu, Boka Kokolishi, and Wayaka, and a shorter inland route toward the Brandaris, the highest point at about 241 m. Roads are unpaved and bumpy, so a pickup or SUV is recommended. Bring plenty of water, snacks, and snorkel gear. From Boat House you can combine viewpoints, wildlife, and a refreshing swim all in one trip.



Getting Around:

Bonaire and especially the hotspots like Washington Slagbaai National Park, the remote pristine beaches, and the kitesurf and windsurf locations, are best enjoyed with a rental car, as our lovely Caribbean island has so much more to offer beyond the immediate surroundings of Boat House. With your own car you can explore remote snorkel spots, dive sites and local restaurants at your own pace. We strongly recommend renting a car so you can get everywhere easily. Most roads on Bonaire are paved, but for nature areas like the park, a pickup truck or SUV is advisable. The park roads are unpaved and sometimes rough, making a regular car less suitable. There is no public transport on Bonaire and taxis are limited, especially on busy days when a cruise ship is in port.



Other Things to Note:

Check-in to Boat House is from 3:00 PM and check-out is until 10:00 AM. Early arrival or late departure may be possible on request, depending on other reservations. Smoking and pets are not allowed in our accommodations, and we kindly ask you to keep noise down at night. Enjoy your stay at Boat House!
