One of the best locations in sunny Poipu Beach Kauai, Nihi Kai Villas Resort is just steps away from the Poipu shoreline and a little over 300 yards to world-famous body surfing Brennecke’s Beach and Poipu Beach Park. The plantation style architecture at this small island oasis by the sea is surrounded by swaying palms, tropical flowers, fruit trees, orchids, and mature plumeria trees accented by well manicured lawns.

PARRISH PROFESSIONAL CLEAN – Built Upon the Vacation Rental Management Association (VRMA) “Safe Home” cleaning program, we further expanded our existing high standard of housekeeping at our properties where hospital-grade cleaning products and protocols were already in use. Our goal by layering on the recommended new steps is to provide our guests assurance and peace of mind that when they stay at any Parrish Kauai property that every effort was made to ensure a high level of cleanliness, sanitation and disinfection.

This is a fantastic gem location with gorgeous views of the ocean and all the furnishings were super comfortable and gave you an authentic Hawaiian feel. The only downside is no air conditioning, which can make the condo super hot and uncomfortable at night to sleep. We learned on the last night, it could have been easily been remedied by lowering shades for afternoon sun to keep heat out. They did have at least 3 fans, along with 2 ceiling fans.

Great time in Poipu

We enjoyed our time on Kauai and our stay in Poipu very much. The location of the condo was a 5 minute walk to the beach. Sunsets from the deck or at the beach were wonderful. The unit was clean and looked just as the pictures showed in the listing. The unit has some age on it but was very nice.

The complex is in a great location and management was fantastic, but property is in need of work.

This property is in a good location with an easy walk to two beaches. The complex is well managed. Staff were excellent communicators and it was very easy to check-in and out. Parking was easy, the grounds and facilities were all well kept. However, as other reviews have stated, this property is in dire need of a refreshment. The appliances and TV were newer but the bathroom and kitchen were very dated and worn out. All kitchen utensils, cutlery, dishes, glasses, pots and pans etc. were scratched, worn out, and should be replaced. They looked like someone picked them up at a garage sale as they were all mismatched. In the bathroom, all of the metal surfaces, such as the shower curtain rod, were rusty. The tub was stained, discolored, and corroding along the floor line. The bathroom fan was not working. The TV was good and had a good selection of channels and streaming services. The only source of music was an old iPod player that had the original wide iPod docking station that hasn't been in use for many years. There is a land-line phone, but it is not connected to a line so therefore is unusable. They provided beach chairs and a cooler. unfortunately the chairs were also worn out and torn. We didn't use them as we were afraid that they would fail. The lid on the cooler was broken. The place needs some updating and TLC.

Beautiful location

Nice condo with great views. Some updates are in need but comfortable & met our vacationing needs. Chatter from other tenants on their lanai for a week during our stay which was problematic for me as a light sleeper but not so much for my hubby. Can be expected people want to visit - I just put the fan on high. Bed / pillows comfortable. New washer & dryer was nice. Overall we had a great stay.

Peaceful retreat with lovely view

Property is wonderful, quiet and landscaping is beautiful. Everything well tended, condo was spacious and comfortable, lovely view of waves! The property managers were so helpful and friendly! I’ll look forward to staying in the same condo next time.

Great location, very clean, well-appointed, and very nice view!

Everything was great about this rental! The only issue is that the afternoon sun bakes the apartment unless you have the lanai shades down all day and keep all the floor and ceiling fans going day and night. It might be time to consider putting in AC. Otherwise, it was really nice, clean, well-appointed apartment, and it was a pleasure to stay there. Thank you so much!

BAD!

This place really smells. It has not been kept up. It may be the carpet holding mold but it was so bad my partner could not breath in the apartment. We had to call the management company and ask for other accommodations. They say they won’t return our costs for thIs dump but we could not stay. It was cleaned up but the underlying foundation of the decor of the unit has not been kept up.

Excellent property. We would definitely stay here again and definitely recommend to friends.

The Nihi Kai Villas are in an excellent location, yet private. It is near the beach, surf shop for renting gear, and a great restaurant. It is also near other shopping areas if you have a car. We found our unit clean and ready for us when we arrived. The grounds are lovely and well maintained. Any questions were quickly addressed. As a side note, we arrived late at night and had some difficulty finding the office and our unit. I believe they did provide a map of the complex with my reservation but I did not have it with me. Take your map. Just a suggestion and word of warning to anyone who expects to arrive after the office closes at 5pm.
