This one bedroom one bath oceanfront unit is on the fourth floor of Kuhio Shores condominium located in sunny Poipu, Kauai. Fronting a sandy bay this four story complex offers some of the best ocean views, swimming and snorkeling available in Poipu! The interior of this unit is decorated with comfortable island living in mind and includes an exquisite Sleep Number Queen Bed and wireless high-speed Internet access to make your stay as comfortable as possible. With your private veranda you can watch the sunrise while sipping your morning coffee, spend the day watching for turtles or whales offshore, or even take in our spectacular sunset while sipping on your favorite evening cocktail. For comfort, location, and price, this Kauai vacation rental is a great deal for any couple looking to experience Kauai at its finest. Now fully air conditioned!

Washers and dryers are located near the elevator closes to the unit. It is coin operated.

This property includes beach chairs, beach towels, a cooler and umbrella. Please feel free to call us if any of these items are missing during your stay.

The condo was excellent! The views of the turtles were amazing. Never seen so many at one time. Condo was equipped and ready for anything you would need during your stay. Had great snorkeling right on the beach next to the condo. Very safe and friendly staff.

Amazing Experience

We had a fantastic vacation at Kuhio shores. The location is perfect - short hop from the airport - very close to Poipu Beach and the Port Allen - for the Napali coast tour boat. The unit is well appointed - we used everything - snorkel/beach gear as well as all of the amenities. We LOVED the place!

Very comfortable beachside condo, amazing views

We really enjoyed our stay at this comfy condo. It was well-equipped and spotlessly clean. This unit is on the top floor, which is the best for turtle watching and whale spotting! The A/C was a nice feature, when winter sun streamed in. Would stay again! One note: the listing mentions laundry amenities, but they are outside the condo in a common area, coin-op. We would have stayed anyway had we known, but might have planned things differently since we were washing cloth diapers every day.

Everything as in the listing (and more) Perfect

This was my first experience on VRBO and with this vendor. From booking to checkout it was just so easy. Garden Island Rentals kept me informed at just the right amount throughout the process. The unit was exactly as described - perfect. Start with the ocean view from the balcony. We sat out there for a lot of time. All our sunrises, breakfasts and most of our evenings. We saw at least 4 sea turtles every day feeding in the basalt reef. Surfers were out there too. The kitchen in the unit had everything you could ever need. Every cupboard with filled with items. Including manuals for every appliances. They supplied two big binders as well. One with listings for restaurants and one with additional info for the condo. The living room couch and chairs were very comfortable and the eat in area was perfect for the two of us. I've never used the split style A/C but it was more than adequate. We were there during a period of very high heat and humidity and the units covered it all. We only had the bedroom unit on when going to bed. We turned of the living unit when going out and it would have the unit cooled down nicely within 10 minutes of putting it back on. The kitchen cupboards weren't the only place with everything you could use. The hall cupboard had beach supplies and lots of other useful items. We used the beach supplies at the local beach as well as Poipu beach. The bed was comfortable and we slept well.The unit was spotless. We didn't see one insect!

Amazing Ocean View.

I loved my stay at the condo. So clean. Had everything I needed to enjoy my stay, and of course, the ocean! Wow, what a view! Loved waking up early in the morning listening to the waves crash up against the rocks. I would definitely stay there again.

Awesome views!

The views were incredible! Saw turtles and enjoyed watching the surfers. The space is very comfortable and we felt at home. The decor is appropriately island like, maybe a bit dated, but very well maintained, organized and stocked with items you may need. The rental company was very kind to check in with us to be sure everything was going well. Would definitely stay here again!

Good stay

View was great. Only problem was the air conditioner in the living area made a weird noise that woke us up at night. It took a couple of nights to figure it out. Leaving the bedroom air conditioner was much quieter and didn’t make that weird noise periodically.

Gorgeous view, perfect accommodations

We really love this condo. The view from the balcony was gorgeous from sunrise to sunset, blue ocean, soft waves breaking, surfers, and at night the Milky Way and loads of stars. The inside had AC which worked great and was much needed on warm afternoons. The owners have provided everything we needed in the kitchen and living areas. There’s a fully stocked closet of beach gear. The building has a quiet, low key vibe from a mix of residents and visitors which we strongly prefer over anything touristy or resort like. Parking is easy and free. Really couldn’t give this place a better recommendation. Will be back!

We absolutely LOVED our stay at this property. We are in love with Kauai and in love with Kuhio Shores. Perfect location and wonderful accommodations. We loved watching the sea turtles and dolphins from the lanai. Thank you so much for making our first trip to this beautiful island so spectacular. We can't wait to come back!

Super clean unit with great views. Super well stocked too, we used the chairs and coolers every day. Definitely one of the best stocked rentals we’ve stayed in! Heed the warnings about parking under the trees at night or you’ll be victim to the parakeet poop, lol.

Perfect location for Hawaii vacation This condo offers A perfect spot at Waters edge for watching turtles, dolphins, humpback whales, and surfers! The condo is well stocked, clean, and quiet. This was our third stay here and we’ll be back!

Just what I wanted

There are not many places on the South Shore that are right on the water. Here you can watch the tides and the turtles and see a sky full of stars. All night you can hear the ocean This is probably one of the best units in the building.. Very well equipped. One tip while you are enjoying your stay: some evening at sunset go over to Poipu Park and watch the turtles pull themselves out of the water onto the beach to spend the night.
