Tim-Duck-Tu is the Outer Banks vacation home you’ve been dreaming about! Proudly located in Duck, the single most popular OBX vacation destination all along the Outer Banks. You’ll get the rest you need and have the fun you’ve been craving too!

With 5 beautiful bedrooms (one master suite), over 500 feet of sun and covered decking, private pool all surrounded by nature in a huge tree-lined lot. The light and airy interiors add to this relaxing and well maintained vacation home. After spending a glorious day at the beach, try beating the kids at a game of shuffleboard or foosball.

It’s all waiting for you at Tim-Duck-Tu. Comfort, relaxation and fun!

  • One of the northernmost towns along the coast in North Carolina, Duck is an idyllic town on the shores of the Currituck Sound. This shot was taken from the town's boardwalk while looking West over the sounds. It is advisable to visit the location in Winter as that is off season - so you can spend more time taking in the beauty of the North Carolina coastline and also sunsets are usually much more picturesque around the time owing to the cooler temperatures and lower amount of atmospheric haze. Plenty of things around Duck to see. Further north, there is the Currituck Lighthouse where you can climb the steps to the top of the lighthouse. North of Corolla, there is an area where you can drive along the coast on the sand - 4X4s a must. Here you can spot some Spanish Mustangs, horses out in the wild. If you're lucky, you can spot them running along the beach in the surf. I'd recommend taking a tour through the Corolla Wild Horse Fund - the money from the tours is used to help the wild horses in every which way possible and the staff are knowledgeable and friendly. The house was filthy when we arrived and we found multiple bugs all over including cockroaches. will never rent from Carolina Shores Vacation Rental's again.

Tim Duck Tu Review

Nice layout with plenty of room and a good sized pool. The game room was a nice touch along with the cornhole game. Unfortunately the outdoor shower was non-functional and was a big "miss" for us given all the activity coming from the beach and pool area. The house was a bit musty and one of the main floor bedrooms had a sour smell in the closet that spread throughout the room. The distance from the beach question was answered "about 880 feet" which we should have done the math and realized it was a half-mile which was a bit further than we had hoped for.

Good location but needs some TLC!

Overpriced! When we arrived at the house, we had to wait because it was still being cleaned. The grass/weeds/trees around the house need to be cut and removed from the perimeter. The pool and hot tub had a ton of sand in them. The pool needed chlorine. The information from Southern Shores Realty said the pool is cleaned between guests and once during the week. I don't think that happened. There were multiple broken toilet paper holders and towel racks laying on the floor. There was trash strewn around the outside of the house. One of the previous renters must have been sick because the toilet brush/holder was disgusting. During the week, we found roaches both inside and outside of the house (I know, we were near the water). You couldn't leave outside lights on at night because of all the bugs. And if you let the kitchen table light on after dark, the bugs ended up inside. The best part of this house was it's location. It was close to the beach and town.

Just what we wanted

We enjoyed our stay the property was as advertised, The pool was very nice and secluded from the neighbors for privacy. Interior of the house is very clean exterior could use a little cleaning. House was furnished with all pots and pans needed, some of the TVs were a little dated but did not bother us

Great Vacation at Tim Duck Tu

We really enjoyed our stay here. The pool was amazing. The house had plenty of room for my family. Easy walk or quick drive to beach access. Nice place.

Best place in the OBX

We loved staying here! The pool is amazing and the privacy of the house, surrounded by trees, is something not easy to find in the OBX! The Weber charcoal grill is great, the kitchen had a blender, all the cutlery needed, and even some baking pans. Would recommend a vacuum for the pool and a better cleaning company but this wasn't bad enough for us not to want to stay again. Close to town, we loved the donuts, smoothies and lobster rolls! Wish we could come back this summer!!

Great stay!

Perfect place...walking distance to beach and a pool and hot tub! Room at the table for all of us for meals.. room to spread out! We had grandkids from 20 to 4, worked well! Only complaint..bikes were listed, and there weren't any, but no beach chairs were listed and there were 2 there!
