"Loved our huge Van Gogh decorated bedroom and great en-suite. Lovely and light with huge window. Breakfast, great range of choices. You couldn't leave hungry. Downside was that we were unable to use the TV because of the Sky set-up. Only catered for two users at any one time. However, we weren't there to watch TV. Hosts, Mandy and Dan were very accommodating and welcoming, as were their three dogs. Would definitely recommend."

We especially enjoyed walking from the B&B to Threave Castle and exploring the nature preserve. We were traveling without a car and had no problem getting to the property by bus."

"This is a lovely place to stay. The Cornmill is right down by the shore of the Cree estuary and Garlieston is a fabulous old village with the Harbour Inn providing good food (advisable to book, though, as our landlady kindly told us). Lovely walks, bike rides and places of historical interest in the vicinity. Katy at the Cornmill was kindness itself - her breakfasts are fantastic and if there's anything else you need, you only needed to ask. Hoping to go back, not least to take advantage of her...
