The space is advertised as private, yet the hosts have full access to both the kitchenette and the bathroom, and none of the doors have locks—not even the bedroom. "We were a party of 4 stayed 4 nights. One towel per person. One face towel and a roll and a half of toilet paper for 4 days. No shampoo, no conditioner. We told them and they didn’t bring us anything. The big issue was the plumbing. There was no cold water coming out of the facets in the bathroom. We had to carry pots of cold water up the stairs from the kitchen so we could have a bath. There is virtually no cell phone service. One bar on the cell phones kept dropping calls. We do a lot of...

"Overall the property was good but some things to note. 1. Hot water wasn’t working when we arrived. They had someone over within 2 hours to check it, and did end up fixing it within about 4 hours, it was frustrating after a long travel day. 2. The mattress was not very good and the bedding looked run down. 3. There is a little patio type thing that could be accessed by the bedroom, however the furniture out there looked dirty and it didn’t appear it was cleaned at all ever. Should just remove...

"We absolutely loved the lodge! It was comfortable, spotless and very well equipped for families. The hot tub was lovely and the sauna fantastic. The hosts were great at answering any questions before the stay and the welcome pack is perfect for you planning your stay. The location is beautiful and peaceful. Perfect for exploring the East Neuk of Fife and with shops nearby! We can't recommend it enough. "
