"Property was tidy, simple and fairly straightforward in terms of settling in. Once we figured out the heating - no instructions - we got the place warm. An excellent wood burner really made the lounge - plus bringing in two bedside lights for ambient lighting - and was generously supplied with kindling and wood. "The property was just OK. Shower was weak with minimal water flow. Property could use improvements such as adding a step to the sliding patio door (about a 1.5 foot to ground). Sleeps six if you include the couch but only 2 dbl beds and 1 single. No outside photos of property."

Overall, the place was pretty bleak, e.g. no mirror in the bedroom to check my outfit, only one pillow so I got neck ache in bed, no towel rail or hooks anywhere in the bathroom so couldn't hang up a towel, no hook in the bedroom to hang up a coat, no toilet roll holder. "Served as a nice base for our visit to Edinburgh and area. The house was comfortable & well equipped. The location was convenient to the highway, grocery stores & a nice local pub/restaurant. The host was responsive & even offered us use of the garage to store our golf clubs."

"The beds were not comfortable you could feel the springs. The room with the double bed had something stuck to the sheets like they were not clean. The extra blankets and sheets were just thrown in the closet. There were no instructions on the oven to know the temperature your cooking at. They had no extra towels. Only 1 kitchen and 1 hand towel for a week stay. No papertowels and only 1 roll of toilet paper per bathroom."
