"I stayed here in the early 1980s, when I was in my early teens. It has been upgraded since then, but still provided that wonderful nostalgic feeling I had when I first visited the Outer Banks! I wanted my kids to experience this as well, so we booked a room for several days. We stayed in a courtyard room, which was still very quiet and comfortable, despite being next to the entrance drive. "My husband and I have stayed here 3 times. Each one was a great experience. We used both the indoor and outdoor pools. It’s also close to our son’s and the restaurants where we like to eat. Love that breakfast is included. Beds are very comfortable and they have a good sized TV. The beach was not too crowded either."

"I think everything was pretty good. Except for the water pressure in the shower was terrible and the washcloths we got that were black had a lot of dye in them. Perhaps you should go to white wash cloths don't think you'll have the same problem."
