Longtails, lodge retreat in beautiful scenic private location, Bantham, S. Devon

Hidden in the gorgeous South Devon countryside and only a 5 minute drive away from the soft golden sands of Bantham Beach, Longtails lodge is perfectly located. Boasting a large garden and beautiful scenic views this retreat could not be more ideal for couples. In the early summer the lawn is awash with daisies, three full leafed large sycamore trees, a nature pond with water lilies, large yellow flag irises, and many other beautiful plants surrounding.

The space:

Hidden behind a private gated property, accessed via a pebbly drive, Longtails Lodge emerges. Leading up steps to the decked entrance to the wooden lodge, this modern and contemporary holiday let is accessed via French doors. Upon entry, you are met with the kitchenette and living area. This bijou space has functional beauty. The kitchenette includes a breakfast bar and sleek hidden cupboards. The all-essential appliances include a toaster, kettle, top of the range cooker and ceramic touch control hob, fridge/freezer and microwave.
The adjoining sitting area which in itself is full of light includes a TV and DVD player, Wi-Fi internet, and a large window overlooking the back of the decking, showcasing the spectacular view, there is also a comfortable sofa bed which can sleep a further 2 guests if needed. (Please note though that Longtails is really best suited for 2 guests due to the overall living space area).
At the end of the hallway, the cosy plush bedroom boasts a double bed with useful storage space and overlooks the glorious garden. The en suite bathroom comes equipped with modern décor, a walk in shower, toilet, wash-basin and heated towel rail.

Every aspect of this lodge is fresh and contemporary, from the modern deluxe feel of the inner lodge, to the classic, well-maintained and expansive orchard-style garden, Longtails Lodge is certainly a relaxation retreat. Lamps dotted on the awning above the decked veranda spanning around the lodge are great for those warm evenings enjoying alfresco dining on the seating area overlooking the vast countryside.

Longtails Lodge boasts an incredible garden, perfect for outdoor activities, nature watching or swinging from the wooden tree swing. The private feel of the place is in contrast to the community homeliness of the surroundings - you pass through the owner of the property’s beautiful garden and vegetable patch before entering your very own haven of nature.
