"Lovely ‘simple self-catering’ in the heart of Dartmoor. Great set of appliances to have a nice coffee and brekky in bed! Coffee and non-dairy milk included - thank you Terry :) we really enjoyed our stay and had a super sleep. The hot tub looked inviting but the weather was just a bit too miserable for us to venture out there. Next time!"

"Didn’t live up to the hype"

"Due to a wedding in the property, which we were not warned about (apparently Hotel can't contact Expedia customers), we got very little sleep. Some of the wedding guests decided to have their own party/social event between 2:30 AM - 5:30 AM meaning we got virtually no sleep. Rang reception to inform them of the noise at 3.45am. They told us they couldn't do anything and to ask for financial compensation when we checked out in the morning. Such a shame as the room was beautiful and we were...

"This is a hotel in a perfect location. It is so beautiful to look into the bay and so wonderful to be able to go on the most incredible coastal walks from the doorstep. Great to take the boat to Salcombe and explore from there. The room was lovely, but we were on the ground floor and looked out onto the bay, but also the decked area; so it wasn't very private. The"

"Had a lovely night away. Room was clean and nice to have a fridge with fresh milk for coffee etc. Breakfast was delicious and lots of choice. Outside areas are great for relaxing and nice to have an outside pool. In a quiet area but within walking distance to the beach, train station and town. Great hosts. Would definitely recommend. "Overall the property was very clean and everything was brand new. Great location and close walk to every where. Only down fall was the kitchen didn't have as many pots and pans if you wanted to cook a family meal. The iron was not working but we got a replacement the next day. The ceiling in the bedroom upstairs was quite low and became quite warm. The property does not have air con except for a fan in the living room. We took an additional fan with us which helped. I would recommend this...

"This was our second stay at Fowlescombe Farm and it only reinforced our view that it is one of the most special places to stay in the UK. This time we stayed in the Pond Suite, which was every bit as beautifully designed and comfortable as our previous accommodation, with lovely views across the surrounding countryside.
