"The room was great, very large. Bathroom was also very spacious. It was perfect for our 1 night stay with St Andrew’s just a few minutes down the road. The room was clean and incredibly comfortable, only complaint is the beds were in front of the windows so we couldn’t open them. "

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Gilvenbank Hotel and would highly recommend it. There are plenty of well lit parking spaces and it is lovely and quiet. The staff are so friendly, helpful and very cheery, including the house cleaners, waitresses, receptionists and bar staff. We stayed in room 4 on the upper floor and loved it as it's very spacious, clean and has a comfy bed. Our breakfasts and meals at night were so tasty and we loved the large portions. There is a good variety to choose...

"As soon as we entered the room and opened the bathroom door there was an awful smell of wet dirty rag and the floor was wet. A member of staff offered to apply some airfreshner which did not solve the problem at all, it just hid it for a while. I think it was the bathtub drain.
