The apartment was exactly what we were looking for. It had everything we needed for a beach vacation and Kamaole 2 beach within 5 mins walk. Drew was very helpful during tsunami alert during our stay. Highly recommended.

Great spot close to the beach

Amelia & Drew's place was exactly what we were looking for. Close to the beach, clean, comfortable beds, and fairly priced. We would definitely stay here again.

Grandson in Maui

This was my grandson’s first trip to Maui & we were very happy with our Kihei Akahi accommodations. Great communication with Drew & Amelia both prior to & during our stay. I had a problem with the outdoor shade which was quickly resolved. Location just above Kameole II is perfect with easy access to local restaurants & shops. Unit is adequately supplied with kitchen needs. Nice perk to have soaps, shampoo, laundry soap supplied as well. With the roller shade on the lanai and lots of fans barely required use of AC- & it was hot during our stay. Would stay again & recommend to friends.

Amazing place

This place is beyond my expectation! This unit has a peek a boo view from the ocean and it is quietly located in a very desired area(restaurants and shops). We really enjoy the stay. This place is also spotless clean!!!!!!

Perfect location

Really great. Things offered in house is just fabulous to see that. We all loved staying here. Other places on island are very accessible from here. Will recommend anybody planning to visit Maui.

Very relaxing, yet close to everything.

Very comfortable, very quiet. Easy walk to Kam II or Kam III. Reserved parking is nice. The unit had AC, but we didn’t use it. We ran the fans and kept the windows and lanai open when we were there. The lanai has a sunshade that you lower during the day to keep the direct sun out. The unit had a variety of beach chairs boogie boards, a wagon, and soft sided coolers. The coolers were great for getting fresh fish or poke, or for taking a cool beverage to the beach to toast the sunset. I walked down to the beach each morning for snorkeling, which I found better on Kam III because of the way the little waves came in. Saw many turtles there.

Location!

Kihei Akahi is one of our favourite place to stay on Maui. The grounds are beautiful and well-maintained, and the daily cleaning of the barbeques to pristine condition is impressive. There are so many incredible restaurants nearby, and our favourite Kihei beach is just a walk down the path/drive. The condo itself was great - so convenient to be on the first floor with no stairs or elevator to deal with! We thought the foot traffic may keep us awake at night as we are light sleepers, but it was never a problem. The bed and sofa were very comfortable, and the fans (and air flow through the condo) were enough to keep us comfortable without using the A/C. Everything we needed was clean - the bedsheets, towels, dishes, etc., but a deep cleaning would be appreciated...my husband vacuumed many little dust bunnies from the bedroom ceiling so we could use the ceiling fan without (my) fear of them falling on us. A wipe down of the door panels, closet rods, cupboards, behind the toaster, etc. would also be appreciated. It seemed there was a lot of beach gear available (that we didn't use LOL). A couple of small coolers had broken zippers, but we found a lunch kit that worked great for a half day out. Our stay was comfortable, and we met so many great people - the top pool is a great meeting place! Everything was easy, and Drew provided detailed info for both the condo and Kihei life. We look forward to staying here again. Mahalo!

Amazing location, great amenities

Communication with host was impeccable; very responsible and easy to work with. He was also flexible to allow us to extend our stay. The condo is located at an amazing place, everything is there (kitchen, nice pool, parking, wifi, very close to beach, dishwasher and even washing machine, sun chairs and umbrella, nice beach towels, etc.). I wouldn't have let an adult sleep in the sofa bed; you can feel the springs, but for a kid, it was fine. We enjoyed our stay at this condo. Highly recommend.

Fantastically Awesome

Amelia and Drew's condo is as exactly as described and is a well stocked condo; really a home away from home. You couldn't ask for a better location with the complex right across the street from Kamaole II beach. Added bonus was the host provided detailed information about the condo, and even recommended places to visit, eat and shop. Thank you so much for your hospitality!

Wonderful Holiday

The location of the unit was wonderful and it was very comfortable. It had all the things one needed for cooking and beach supplies. The air condition was a relief during those hot days. The blind for the lanai was a great idea during the heat of the day. My only recommendation is new cushions for the two lower chairs on the lanai.

Best Location!

This Condo was just what we needed. I love the location and the grounds. This property was exactly as described.The complex is quiet, safe, peaceful and family friendly. The two pools and pickleball court were a great bonus on the complex. The Grills and pools were cleaned daily. The Beach Wagon came in handy to haul all of our beach needs to the beach. Being on the first level was also another great bonus. Easy Parking with nearby garbage and recycling. We pray that this unit will be available for our next stay at Drew and Amelia's condo.

The office gave us the phone # to call when need anything. However, we did call him for toilet papers 2 days Sun/Mon morning/afternoon (all day), nobody pickup the phone. complained to the office, office said "keep / try" to call him (???). We had to go to Safeway to buy it. it's not a big deal, but service is "how many stars would you give to?"

Beautiful property and great location

Had a great stay in Kihei. The property is maintained really well and it's nice to walk around on the grounds and enjoy the plants, trees and flowers. There are 2 pools to choose from so if one is busy you can check the other. The beach across the street is really pretty and relaxing. We never had to use the A/C just left the Lanai doors open and had a great breeze blowing in day and night. The restaurants around were all delicious and convenient. Bonus was all the beach gear in the closets to use at your leisure while on the island. The local Foodland card provided helped us save money in the grocery store. Felt safe and secure as well.

Enjoyed our stay

Good value, nice stay with great amenities including washer and dryer, safe in closet, and smart tv. Any place with a smart tv gets five stars for me. Lots of household items available for use, though we barely used any. Great places to get takeout in Kihei. This unit is on the second floor and provides good security for travelers. Ocean view, though small, from the living room and balcony. Bring your own toiletries as shampoo and body wash are not provided. A/C works well, but doesn’t reach the bedroom. Also bring disposable house slippers if you take shoes off in the house.

Phenomenal Stay

I would highly recommend this property for anyone visiting Maui! Drew and Amelia were easy to work with, and always responded quickly to communication. The suggestions they had for resources, activities, etc. around their location was helpful. The location is phenomenal! Directly across from the beach, you can easily visit it everyday, and the condo has some essential gear for that. If the beach isn’t your thing, the complex has two pools with plenty of seating. There’s also BBQ’s available for use, and they were cleaned every morning by staff (we saw this, not just what we were told). There were only two complaints, and neither were any fault of Drew or Amelia. Upon arrival, there’s was a significant amount of dust collected in a stand up fan in the bedroom and behind the headboard. I’ve passed this issue on, and they’ve notified their cleaning crew, so I have no concerns that it’ll be corrected. The other is simply a part of the building design (which obviously Drew and Amelia don’t have any control). There are windows in the bedroom that face the front walkway of the building. These windows (and/or thin walls) make it easy to hear everything going on outside. The complex does have quiet hours from 10pm-8am, but there were a couple times it was bothersome (like people talking loudly or the garbage truck that came Saturday morning at 7:30am). Those however were only minor inconveniences, and I wouldn’t hesitate to book the condo again. Hopefully I’ll get to visit Maui again sooner rather than later, and do just that!

Kihei stay

We had a three night stay in Kihei prior to getting our timeshare up in Napili. All was as explained in the advertisement and the location to the beach and dining, etc..was wonderful! Even a sweet little view of the sun setting! You def. need to run the AC in the living room window for a good portion of the day, so we were thankful for that. The bed was big & comfy but there is Very little room between the bed frame and the dresser - the frame corners kind of stick out and we both hit them and it Hurts! So just be aware - nothing you can do about it and doesn’t diminish the niceness of the rental.
