  • Ma’alaea Surf, Unit E3 is a conveniently located, beautifully appointed, expansive ground floor apartment near the large pool with fabulous ocean and sunset views. This unit features AC, Wi-Fi, TV, kitchen, 2 pools, tennis and pickleball courts, convenient parking, BBQ areas and washer/dryers located in guest laundry rooms on property.

    Step out from the patio to the beautiful sandy beach, a four-mile-long golden crescent ideal for walking. It has been remodeled from top to bottom and features a fully equipped designer kitchen and a new Cal king sized bed. Also redone is the bath with a walk-in shower, stand-alone soaking tub, with all new tile and vanity. The unit includes a quiet ductless climate comfort system, high-speed internet/wireless, 2 HDTVs with digital cable. All linens, bath towels and beach towels are provided. The maximum occupancy of this unit is 4. All apartments at the Ma’alaea Surf are non-smoking.

    Our property is NOT impacted by the recent news regarding potential short-term rental (STR) restrictions in Maui. Because we are zoned as a hotel property, we are exempt from the County of Maui's proposed STR regulations.

Very clean and welcoming! Farmers market, bakery, ABC store, and Ululani’s shave ice. Fully stocked kitchen with pots, pans, plates, silverware, Utensils, coffee maker, etc. toiletries and towels and blankets supplied. Easiest vacation I’ve taken! Malea (property manager) is prompt with replies and very helpful. Easy free parking, too. What a great break from resort living. Book directly through the site to save money other third party booking sites. Easy access to adventures and hikes and other activities. Can’t rave enough about these units!

Our Home away from home

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We recently returned from our vacation Feb 19-March - March 8. Once again, our accommodations were perfect! We have always stayed at Maalaea Surf when on Maui. Our unit was E3, a one bedroom ground level unit. It was beautifully renovated with new appliances and furniture. The pull-out couch was very comfortable for our daughter and the king bed was great. The only downside was that the laundry which would have been right next to us is now only available to owners, so it was off limits to guests. No worry though, we used the laundry in the next building. The grounds are beautiful and we love the morning walks on the beach. The BBQ's are always spotless! We weren't ready to come home so we extended our stay by three extra nights and was able to move over to A1, a beachfront two-bedroom unit. This unit was amazing! waking up to the ocean right in front of our lanai was incredible. Thank you Malea for making that happen for us! We will be back!! The Goodmans

Suggestions: Railings in lofts should be brought up to code (units F5 & G9). We had small children and were worried about them. Prompt replacement of coffee maker was most appreciated. You should consider installing chargers or at least plug ins for EVs - they will be more and more common. Pool was in great shape.

Perfect Location, Great Space

The condo is a 5 min walk to an ABC grocery store, daily farmer’s market and a bakery. The grounds are in good shape and you’re right on the beach. You definitely need your own car to stay here if you plan to go out for meals. Uber/Lyft is non-existent and you’re not close enough to anything else to walk.

Amazing stay!

This was an amazing stay! It was our first time on Maui, and we are already planning our trip back later this year. An amazing property (pictures don't do it justice).. This unit is ground level, right near the pool and a very short walk to the beach. We loved our stay.
