Just Amazing

The sunsets were great. We saw a turtle on the beach a couple mornings we were there. Close to a lot of great food and beaches. The owner let us have a late check out because our late flight didn’t interfere with anyone else checking in.

Beautiful condo

We love Menehune Shores, the location is perfect with ocean views and morning beach walks. This condo was also lovely. We listened to the ocean waves every night. It was about 85 degress F, so we definitely needed all the fans. Very comfortable unit. So great to have the beach chairs and a small cooler for guest use. We also appreciated the 4 chairs on the lanai so we could all enjoy the view.

Great Beach Access

This condo was the perfect intro to Maui for us. This was our first time on the island and we found this location to be really well located. 15ish minutes to the aquarium and a marina that we used for excursions. Plenty of nearby places to eat (you will drive but it’s only a few minutes) Great beach accessiblity, walk right out to it and the pool is gorgeous. This host is an excellent communicator and super easy to work with. My sister stayed in a different nearby condo building and once she saw ours, she was so much more impressed with the amenities. We did not bring our kids this trip but we saw plenty of families and would definitely recommend this location for guests of all ages

8 night stay

Location to beach access and things to do met our expectations. The view from the room was spectacular from Sunrise to Sunset. The pool was great for our kiddos after long adventures or windy days. Having No AC, crazy winds and warm nights made sleeping a challenge. The contact person was quick to address all concerns and questions we had. We had a lovely vacationOabout the property.

Great location

The cook wares are not clean. We had to clean every piece of pot/pan before we use it. Especially the coffee maker. It was grossly dirty. I wish I could post a picture here. The floor was dirty. If you walk around bare footed, your feet bottom turns black in no time. On the refrigerator, there is a note that says this is not a hotel, so they only supply a starter kit with 2 rolls of toilet tissue per bathroom. Also, there is only one roll of paper towel in the kitchen. We had to buy some more. Let's be realistic, this is for 4 people staying 1 week not 3 days. For extra $5 supplies and remove that low class note will improve my over-all impression quite a bit. Also, A/C would be much appreciated. Now, the good parts about the place. Location is hard to beat. Directly behind the condo, it's an old fishing pond. There is a sea wall blocking the waves. So, the water is calm all day long. If you walk pass Humpback Whale Sancturary visitor center, there is a long stretch of beach with hardly any people on it. You can watch sea turtles resting on the beach in the morning. Having breakfast or watch sunset from lanai is what Hawaii vacation all about. Gave overall rating of 4 stars only because of the location.

I could kick myself for now pushing to get the property manager over to see how dirty it was. It appeared they only do surface clean, even though they said they do deep clean. There were months/years of dirt on door jams, base boards. Sent pictures just so they would be ripped off by someone who was "deep cleaning". Basically said I was lying. Wasn't asking for compensation just making them aware. Evolve is a horrible company to work with. We are 75 and just needed a break from stress so just dealth with it.

Great ending to our Hawaiian vacation.

Great location. Great amenities. Great views. Wonderful place. However needed a few minor fixes and cleaning. Lot of sand and beach toys in the second bedroom closet that had to be cleaned before we could un pack.

Place was nice but could use a little upgrade

The unit was nice however in need of an upgrade. Bathrooms definitely need a deep clean but in general it was equipped with all the basic needs and extra towels. Maybe they could add a blender! We mainly cooked there but were limited due to the lack of one. The property in general is nice with a good size pool and direct access to the beach. Our stay was pleasant.

Great Stay

We had a wonderful time here. The place was beautiful. There was a small miscommunication at check-in but the host was more than accommodating! 5 stars and would stay here again!

Disappointing

Resort was nice - unit was not. The unit needed a deep clean, new towels, new mattresses and maintenance. It was so bad, we made alternate arrangements at another location and ended up paying double for our stay. Mold in showers, dirty floors, electrical hazards, bodily stains on mattress. The outside property was well manicured and very well maintained - including the grills and pool chairs. The tidal pool outback is great for small children and seniors. The Indian restaurant on location was great. The room layout of the rental unit was nice.

Ladies vacation

Overall the place was good. But, Sleeper sofa is terrible, even unfolded. Could use blow driers in both bathrooms. I sent a question via email and text to the local manager that went unanswered. It would have been nice to know there would be no bar soap or liquid soap in showers.

Turtles and Sunsets

The property was in a great location. Contacted Yolanda for a small issue she was very pleasant and efficient. The condo could use a deep clean and some paint touch-up. But overall it was what was expected! Gets windy often so you find sand in the condo a lot. But who cares you are right on the beach watching sunsets and best of all...Turtle's Turtles Turtles 🐢 right in front! Also great swimming area for all ages!

Great location. Horrible cleanliness.

The location A+. The condo itself, two bedroom, two bathrooms, full kitchen, on the beach, A+ view of the ocean. Facility pool A+. Cleanliness F. This place is not clean at all. The walls are so dirty. The vents in the bathrooms are full of dust and dirt. The bedding does not seem clean. Most important, every time we sat on the very old couches, we had big bites. We slept over the bedding every night to make sure we didn’t have bed bugs. Definitely not Covid compliant. This place needs to get a deep, DEEP, cleaning after every guest stay. We took pictures of everything. I recommend the owners invest in some new furniture and linens. Paint the walls. Do a deep cleaning. We called the property to come fix the door from the bedroom to the balcony and no one came to fix it. Such a shame a cute place is not up to par.

Fabulous!!

It was a fabulous view! I wish I would have booked a longer stay at this location and we will be back!! 2nd day of the trip there was a sea turtle that came up onto the shore. The swimming area was great for all ages as you could walk pretty far out.

No AC and extreme wind in the afternoon made this less than ideal

The unit itself is fairly run down (with the exception of the kitchen), and the location, while central to the island is in the middle of a wind tunnel - crazy wind starting early afternoon and lasting until sunset daily. Very hot and very dry part of the island. Also, couldn’t catch the building admin for a parking pass as they’re only around 9a-2p. This was on the spendier end of the spectrum, and not worth half of what we paid.

Worked for Us

Made for a perfect home base for us. Condo was mostly updated with new bathrooms/kitchen but very well appointed with laundry kitchen supplies. We were a little nervous about not having a/c but it really wasn't a big deal, the unit gets plenty of breeze and the temperatures at least when we went (Late May) were fine at night. There are resident turtles on the property every morning and the indian food restraunt on the grounds is exceptional.

View

The view was beautiful. To be able to wake up and see the ocean was nice! Being able to hear the waves crashing at night was also nice. The king size bed was very comfortable and the pillows were nice. The 2 twin size beds I was told were a little too firm. The pullout mattress on the couch is outdated, so we used the air mattresses instead. The fire alarm went off in the condo and Yolanda came right away to fix the problem. This condo is nice if traveling with kids because there’s plenty of room, a pool, and a beach that doesn’t have big waves. The condo was equipped with beach towels, chairs, umbrellas, and beach toys.

Loved the unit and the property

The upgraded kitchen and bathrooms in this unit at the Menehune Shores really made for a fabulous stay. The view of the pool and beach from the lanai is beautiful. The many beach toys, boogie boards, umbrellas, chairs, etc. were so nice to have. We loved the pool and shuffleboard courts. The beachfront is okay, but the walled-in swimming area means no fun waves. It's easy to find another beach for waves nearby. We didn't try the Indian restaurant in the building, but it smelled amazing. Good communication with property manager. Nice area of Kihei. We would stay here again!
