"This hotel smells like cigarettes and stale beer. Not just our rooms but all of the rooms and hallways. Disgusting. Needs to be renovated more than any marriott hotel on planet earth. The interior of the hotel and rooms are also so tired and worn out- at least 25 years of heavy use. Could not recommend less. Bummer. Nice staff though!"

"This hotel has really gone down hill. Rooms are just average, really dated, and need of repair. Bar and restaurant staff were good and provided good service. The front desk staff seems annoyed you are staying with them. We’ve probably stayed here 10 times, it’s time to find something different."

"The A/C worked well and was quiet. The beds are very uncomfortable. Our toilet lever didn't work. We unpacked and pulled out the couch bed, got all situated before we discovered the toilet. Since it was a Sunday, there was no maintenance available to fix it. The only remedy was to change rooms, which they offered. But, with 3 small kids and already all unpacked and one kid was asleep on the bed, we stayed. Had to take off the top of the back of the stool and put out hand in the water to manually...

"It was the only reasonably priced room I found in KC for the weekend. Property was very nice and the staff were so nice and friendly. The streetcar on that street is very convenient to get to several things. The breakfast was a little lackluster and no ice bucket and cups in the room but they seem to have just updated so maybe that hasn’t been taken care of yet. I would gladly return for another visit."
