Aloha & Welcome to Mermaid's Oasis! This 4-bedroom home with new split AC in bedrooms and living area! It is directly oceanfront in spectacular Hawaiian Paradise Park. It truly is paradise here! Before you even step foot in the door you are greeted by a Hawaiian Sea turtle fountain and pond, with tropical flowers and fish. Enjoy listening to the waves crashing on the lava rock cliffs and revel in the awe-inspiring Ocean views that can be seen throughout the home's living room, dining room, and covered lanai areas. The soothing sounds will lull you to sleep at night. Enjoy the private pool which is also Oceanfront, or just sunbathe on the pool deck. Watch humpback whales breach and tail slap and dolphins play in the winter months directly in front of the house, and sea turtles right at the water's edge throughout the year. Try fishing right off the lava cliffs at the water's edge!

Mermaid's Oasis is just that, an oasis for you to relax and enjoy every second of your time while staying here. The house sleeps 10 comfortably, so bring the whole family or a big group of friends. You don't have to fight over the master bedroom because we have two, both with king-sized beds and bathrooms attached. The third bedroom has two Queen beds and the 4th unique bonus room has a full-sized bed as well. We have furnished the home with comfort and luxury in mind. Enjoy the 70" TV in the living room; you don't have to miss your favorite programs or the big game. The three main bedrooms also have large flat-screen TV's, and Youtube TV with all your favorite networks and sports. The 180-degree view of the Ocean might distract your TV viewing though. The dramatic, hand-painted, floor-to-ceiling artwork in the living room brings the beauty, and magic of the ocean indoors.

Each room has beach-inspired furnishings and attention to detail making your stay relaxing and memorable. You won't want to leave this Mermaid's Oasis! There are an oversized washer and dryer for your use during your stay. In the bathroom, you will find bath & beach towels and toiletries you may use during your stay including shampoo and conditioner, lotion, sunscreen, Q-tips, cotton balls, after sun aloe, and other necessities. The bedrooms and living area all have new split AC units to keep you cool and comfortable at night. There is a pack and play for little ones!

The kitchen has everything you could need for cooking and dining indoors or outdoors. There is a new Weber BBQ just off the kitchen. Dine inside on the large hardwood table with Ocean views, or dine alfresco at one of two outdoor seating areas under the covered lanai. You can't beat the views and Ocean breezes. Just off the kitchen is a bar area for entertaining. Take advantage of the outdoor seating area to read, have cocktails, or socialize.

The house is in a "banana belt" and gets far less precipitation than areas even just up the road or in the Hilo area. Evening showers help to keep the tropical plants and trees lush and green.

Mermaid's Oasis is just 25 minutes from the Hilo Airport and 30 minutes from downtown Hilo. There are some great restaurants in Hilo. We love Pineapples and Café Pesto. WSW is a steak house with views of Hilo Bay located in the Hilo Hawaiian hotel. There are many fine ethnic food choices to suit every taste. There is a shopping mall, and in charming downtown Hilo, there is a farmer's market on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Day snorkel, dive, and whale watching trips leave from Hilo too, or take a boat to see the lava flows up close. Just outside of Hilo are numerous gorgeous waterfalls, as well as a Vanilla farm and Chocolate farm that both offer tours, and fantastic tastings.

Pahoa is a small quaint town just 10-15 minutes from the house. It has cute shops, some local taverns and art, as well as a few "can't miss" restaurants. Pele's kitchen is great for breakfast, and Kaleo's has 4 star dining. There is also pizza, Mexican, Thai, and sushi choices. Grocery stores, drug stores and many other shops can be found in Pahoa also. The Makuu Farmer's market on Sunday's has hundreds of local vendors offering fresh produce, local art, souvenirs, and food trucks. This is a must! It is located on Highway 130 between the house and Pahoa.

Of course, one of the biggest attractions on the Island is the Kilauea volcano and you are just 30 minutes from that. It. has been actively erupting about once a week since late December. Don't miss it! Don't forget awesome zip-lining and horseback riding if you have the time. There is a small zoo and macadamia nut farm midway between Hilo and the house too.
