Lots of birds, frogs and other wildlife roam the property, along with their unique noises at all hours of the day and night. We awoke at pre-dawn each day to the sounds of roosters on the property. "I recently spent five nights here (mid July) while solo hiking Volcanoes National Park (30 minutes away) and exploring the Hilo area. "This is an out-of-the-way gem (but easy to get to). Clean, and close to shore to hear waves crashing. Host was superb! Unit was smaller than expectation. Hard to use luggage rack and move around. Not so certainly about "see whales and dolphins" - but maybe it was wrong time of year. Checking and communication with host was great (5/5)!"

"The Lehua Lodge is the best place I have ever stayed on the Big Island!! Linda is a phenomenal host, very available and highly responsive!! The lanai on this property is amazing!! We loved listening to the rain and enjoyed all the gorgeous flowers! We loved it so much that we extended our stay!! Can not say enough about the home or the hosts!!
