First the good:
A number of staff went the extra mile. Those worthy of mention are Seba in Reception (unfortunately Seba left), Joseph, Restaurant Maître d, Orhan, Waiter and Chef Deniz.
Adequate basic breakfast. Needs variation.
The not so good:
Unfortunately, those that went the extra mile were let down by those with a laissez faire attitude. The Management of Saray Suites deserve special mention for the wrong reasons: There was little or no managerial direction or focus on what is important i.e., the customer and their basic requirements. Examples of this: water, tea and coffee and basic toiletries not restocked, standard of cleanliness was poor, bordering on abysmal.
The Garden Room, Private Pool, wasn't as advertised in that it was supposed to sleep 4. Our room, 118 didn't. It wasn't a problem for my wife and I as were the only 2 occupying the room. The additional room was locked and we were later told by the Manager that it was uninhabitable due to excessive damp on the walls!
Now the awful:
The bathroom was dated, the drains stank, there was mould on the tiles and grouting. DISGUSTING.
It is worthy of note that there is not a single picture of room 118's bathroom!
Sitting area around the pool stank of sewage making it unusable!
The above were brought to Management's attention for the first few days, then we gave up. During the latter part of the second week of our stay, the owner of the hotel visited and he was shown the smelly damp walls and mouldy bathroom.
