"Check-in was easy, staff was friendly and helpful. Room was small with stains on the carpet and marks on the wall - not great. Evening meal was very good in terms of quality. Not great was serving time and overall state of chairs and tables. Chairs were absolutely uncomfortable and tables wabbly in restaurant and breakfast room. Parking was OK, but road into property is full of potholes."

"Stayed at the Black Dog Inn in Bolton for two nights. The room itself was comfortable enough for the price, so no major complaints there. However, the overall experience was disappointing. The first night was a write-off in terms of sleep. Staff gave a late booking to a couple who had been drinking in the pub, and they stayed up most of the night with the TV on at a very high volume. "I like staying at the Furnhust whilst on business as staff are very helpful and pleasent. Although some of the rooms need updating they are good value for money. Food very good. They have football on on 2 screens."

"The common area was clean as was the linen. Staff was non existent did not realise was a self service accomodation. Parking was there but I did not need it. The room carpet could do with shampoo and the cupboard with dusting . The bathroom fixture though looked new could do with upgrade.. ."

"Room was very clean as was the bathroom. It had everything you needed and it was all clearly labelled. Kingsize bed was really comfy. Curtains were blackout so no light got through. Situated in a lovely quiet area so there was no noise throughout the night. Throughly enjoyed the room. Had no issues are complaints. "

"I honestly can't understand why this hotel is rated as well as it is showing online. When travelling I always stayed here previously but it has been a significant time since my last stay when it was a Premier Inn. The room on the lower floor had an odour of urine and felt damp. The bed mattress was worn with no support. Thankfully The bedding was clean. The room overall was oversized and felt damp. The shower had a small cockroach looking insect residing. And the door had no security latch...

"Unfortunately, my stay was disappointing. The room was extremely hot and stuffy. While a fan had been provided, there was no air conditioning and the fan did little to improve the lack of ventilation. The room also did not appear to have been cleaned to a particularly high standard. There was a noticeable line of dust behind the radiator, and I found a small puddle of water on the bathroom floor upon entering the room. The sound insulation also appeared to be very poor.
