The home is cozy, bright, and new. Wildlife flourishes in abundance. Watch bald eagles and osprey; it is a birders’ delight. Spot the black bears along the river bank. Discover the elusive Roosevelt Elk. Breathe in the Wild.

Guests have the use of the entire cottage through a PIN-activated lock. The passcode will be provided a few days prior to arrival. Remember to note it down so there are no unpleasant surprises on arrival as there is no cell phone service. We do recommend you bring a spare flashlight in the car during the winter months for easy entry. There are two parking spots immediately in front. We are pet-friendly knowing they are an important factor in our lives. We have waived our pet-fee through these COVID times.

We offer WiFi, Sirius/Amazon Radio, and Netflix/Amazon Movies on a Smart TV with Bose Sound Surround System, a well-stocked gourmet kitchen (sharp knives) with all full-size appliances/filtered water and balcony barbeque. Sit in the living room in front of the cozy gas fireplace; browsing our diverse library. Or enjoy watching the birdlife soar above San Juan Bay. Away from urban light pollution, nights are dark and there are plenty of stargazing opportunities.

The custom bathroom with a curbless shower and heated floor/towel rack offer all the traditional amenities and lots of fluffy bath towels. *** In order to contain the virus, we do not put offer as many fluffy choices. *** The bedroom has lots of cupboard/drawer space (oodles of hooks too) and a queen bed with deluxe coloured-linens and reading lights. We have various pillows to chose from and offer both summer and winter silk (NOT FEATHER) duvets. You have three levels of comfort to sleep on: mattress, foam topper and feather topper. I admit it is difficult to accommodate all tastes. We try. Lots of extra USB ports are conveniently located throughout the house.

Bjørn Holm is maintained with heart and soul; our space is professionally cleaned. Uncompromising cleaning and hygiene - additional cleaning, sanitizing, and hygiene practices in all areas with particular emphasis on high touch points and hard surfaces. Washer/Dryer is available for extended stays (7 or more nights). Advance notice is necessary to arrange access.

Stay tuned for our 2nd bedroom in late 2023/24. Located downstairs with separate entry, this space will have its own private deck, bathroom, and some kitchen amenities.
