Little Dipper is located near the historic courthouse in downtown Johnson City, as well as the childhood home of Lyndon Baines Johnson. This recently remodeled two-bedroom, two-bath, home is ideal for a couples get-away, or for those looking for easy access to the hill country and wine trail attractions. The property features a charming sitting area in the backyard with a fire table and chairs positioned under the Texas Starry Sky.

Checking in was very simple, and Joe always responded to every text I sent. Everything was very clean and organized. This was a great location because it was within 30-45 minutes of what was planned to visit and excellent to the major highways.I highly recommend a stay at this cute little cottage.

We absolutely loved the house and the location. We even sat outside one evening and enjoyed the fire pit. We drove to many wineries in the area without even going to Fredericksburg. Due to the location, we were also able to walk to some wine tasting rooms and restaurants. ABSOLUTELY LOVED the adorable house with all the amenities and convenient location to walk to restaurants and wine tasting rooms. Also, we loved that the kitchen had everything we needed to cook breakfast and dinner. We will definitely book this house again. And Joe was an awesome host! Can’t wait to stay there again and possibly invite another couple because there was plenty of room for 2 couples.

The host was great. Easy to get a hold of and timely with his responses. The house was really cute, well stocked, decorated and the location was very convenient. We will be back there again the next time we are in the area. Don't miss your chance to stay here if you are in the area.

Our second time staying here and we love it. Nicely decorated, excellent location. Easy and short walk to a great coffee shop and food truck area in the mornings. Love the reverse osmosis system in the kitchen for perfect pure drinking water, and the memory foam mattress is very comfortable to sleep on. We will be back again for sure.

Our stay at the Little Dipper was amazing! We were close to downtown to explore the Christmas lights. Host was very responsive with questions we had. Would recommend this location when visiting Johnson City.
My favorite part was the electric heater in the living room!

This is a charming property that is very thoughtfully appointed. We enjoyed sitting out in the backyard by the firepit and playing some Cornhole. We took a lovely stroll to the nearby town center and browsed the variety of cute shops. Because we stayed over Thanksgiving the town center was beautifully decorated with Christmas lights in the evening. The host was wonderful, always quick to respond to any question. I would definitely stay again.

The Little Dipper was perfect for our 2 night stay! Had a cottage feel but with all of the creature comforts. Perfect location - a very short walking distance to coffee, breakfast and shopping downtown. Would definitely recommend!!

We stayed in the Little Dipper for one night while attending a wedding close by. Joe was very easy to communicate with and always provided answers to my questions promptly! The house was easy to check in, extremely clean and quite charming! The coffee provided was a thoughtful touch and we enjoyed sipping it in the large back yard in comfortable seating Sunday morning. All the beds were comfy and the a/c worked perfectly on a relatively warm October night. Thanks Joe, we would be happy to return as well as recommend Little Dipper to our friends!

Quaint cute home! Comfortable beds and very clean. Nice that there was a traditional coffee pot for my husband and not a K cup. 2 bedrooms and 2 baths, with a great setup. Living area and kitchen are in the middle of home with bed/bath on either side. Nice yard, however, with our visit being in August, we did not get outside to enjoy.We would definitely stay here again:)

Overall my stay was very pleasant! The property was clean and as advertised. Everything looked like the pictures except the lawn was fairly overgrown. Charming Cottage

Perfect location for visiting the wineries on 290. We liked being in Johnson City rather than Fredericksburg. Enjoyed sitting in the back yard in the evening. Inside is updated and had everything we needed. A very enjoyable stay!

Perfect Getaway in Johnson City, TX

We really enjoyed our short stay in Johnson City. This sweet house was perfect for us. It was an easy walk to lots of locations- a local coffee shop, a local breakfast place and a local craft brewery. It was an easy drive to the tasting rooms and local wineries on 290 and to the Lyndon B. Johnson historical sites. This house sits in a terrific location. We made good use of the backyard and the barbecue grill, and the kitchen was appointed with everything we needed and then some. The house was easy to find. We arrived later than expected and in the dark, but the house was very welcoming with lights on - waiting for us. The owners were easy to communicate with. We would definitely recommend this property.

Quick Stay in Johnson City

This house is in a great location in Johnson City. I needed a place to stay while working on some property nearby. The house is very comfortable, good parking, good location, and you can walk to several shops and places to eat.

Everything you need!

Coffee shop and breakfast right across the street. Block away from shops, restaurants, LBJ's boyhood home.The house was great and also had everything that we needed!
