I took this photo on August 27th in the Faroe Islands. This waterfall is one of the most picturesque and well-visited sights there. And one of the highlights of my trip! It was a dream to visit the Faroes and especially this waterfall. Am so glad I finally did :). And while popular with photographers it is still quite isolated! And compared to the waterfalls of Iceland it is not nearly as popular. Same with the Faroe Islands as a whole. And there was just a few other tourists when I was there at sunset. Also, before the completion of a tunnel in about 2006 this waterfall was even less visited as one had to travel over the mountains to get there. A much harder journey. But the scenery is incredible on the way! And even more so when you are there :).

What a fantastic place. Love to mow the roofgrass here.
