"Our stay at Invercreran Lodge was the most luxurious stay of our entire trip to Scotland. My biggest regret is that we didn't have more time to enjoy the lodge. Upon entering the entire place has a signature smell that makes you feel comforted. Plush carpet in the bedroom, 5 star amenities in the bathroom and every detail meticulously thought out. "This was our 3rd visit to Holly Tree. The room and facilities were spotless.
We have always been impressed by the high standard of the bathroom fittings and separate bath and shower.
Staff were helpful ,courteous and attentive.Food again was excellent and most enjoyable i.e.dinner ,especially enhanced by the wonderful view of the loch. Breakfast was good though fresh fruit was limited-- a minor detail !!
On this occasion we didn't use,the spa and swimming pool though we have in the past and...
"Very disappointing stay.
We booked two rooms through Expedia, and both were musty, unpleasant-smelling, and poorly maintained. One room looked as though it had not been used for a long time.
Fixtures were loose, there were no proper towel hooks, the shower soap dispensers were empty, and there were flying insects in the rooms, including a squashed mosquito left on the wall.
The rooms felt neglected rather than simply old. Definitely not the standard we expected for the price."
