Welcome to Scout's Hideaway!

This quiet, secluded cabin is perched on a hillside at the end of a peaceful residential road surrounded by towering pine trees. With a forest backyard, the deck is the perfect place to drink a cup of coffee in the morning and look out on lots of wildlife, including deer, bright blue Steller’s jays, woodpeckers, squirrels, chipmunks, rabbits, and lizards. In spite of the “getting away from it all” vibe, the cabin is only a 6-minute drive into Idyllwild's town center and easily accessible to all of the area's hiking trails.

With an eclectic aesthetic that mixes modern and vintage, Scout’s Hideaway is cozy but feels spacious, with two roomy bedrooms (one with a king bed, one with a queen) and a living room that opens onto the deck. The kitchen is fully stocked for making meals at home, and coffee and tea are on hand for you to enjoy.

In the evening, you’ll want to get a fire crackling in the wood-burning stove, cozy up with a glass of whiskey or wine, and watch the glow on the mountains from the deck as the sun sets. The cabin is meant to be a peaceful spot to find joy in nature and the company of friends and family, so we have a variety of games and puzzles on hand but choose not to have a TV. If you think you'll be craving it, make sure to bring your own device for streaming. The house is equipped with WiFi, but we think it's the perfect place to unplug.

Pets: We (Do ) allow Dogs (2 maximum) (Cats may or may not be allowed depending on the property). There is a $130 pet fee (2 dog max) depending on breed and home; $170 pet fee for bookings between November 1st- January 15th. Stays beyond 3 days, or exceed the 2-dog max, may be subject to additional Pet Fees. IF CATS ALLOWED, it is a flat rate for the duration of stay of $250.00 or $500.00, it is all depending on the property. SPECIAL REQUEST PETS OUTSIDE OF DOGS MUST BE APPROVED BY PROPERTY MANAGEMENT PRIOR TO DAY OF ARRIVAL.


Guests under the age of 25 years of age will provide an additional security deposit of $250 on the day of arrival.

GUEST COOPERATION IN ADHERING TO CHECK-IN/CHECK-OUT TIME PROCEDURES DURING THE HOLIDAY SEASON IS GREATLY APPRECIATED AND MOST HELPFUL TO OUR STAFF AS WELL AS YOUR FELLOW VACATIONERS IN ENSURING SEAMLESS CHECK-INS FOR ALL NEW SPIRIT GUESTS.
