"Although the room was adequate , for me disappointing for the sum l paid , which was £225 a night . Although yes, there was a sea view , but totally spoilt ,by the dirty rooftops. Additionally we found the shower scalding hot and very difficult to adjust to a sensible temperature. "

"This small hotel is clean and friendly. The food is all freshly prepared and cooked for each order. It was very tasty and well presented. Owners and staff are friendly and welcoming. They also welcome, for a small charge, well behaved dogs which is great if you own a pet that you cannot leave at home with someone else. Our little dog loved the area and there was a nice walk close by. "

"Churchill Guest House is charming. The room was comfortable and I loved the decor, including a beautiful fold out writing desk. "Stayed overnight with our dog - extremely friendly and good service. We arrived late at 11.30pm and the staff were up to welcome us. Beautiful garden too for an early morning walk "

"Very cute place with uniquely designed, quirky rooms. I loved it! I really appreciated all the thoughtful touches (fudge, cold milk, port, selection of teas and coffee). I needed to leave earlier than breakfast was served, so was provided with a breakfast hamper, which was absolutely wonderful! Very, very good service in the restaurant too. "

"Lovely place. I didn’t realise when I booked that the room is not en-suite. Which was fine except only two toilets for 12-14 pods. The pods are nice and very well kept, but very small for mote than 2 people. Family with little kids ok, but we were groups of adults and teenagers so not idea. Over all place is very nice, but probably not worth the cost. "

"The place is really nice, the hosts are very helpful. The property has a wonderful view, but, somehow far from restaurants and for the few attractions that Dover has to offer. "

"Just right for my needs. Good location for access to town plus free parking. Unfortunately I did have noisy people in adjoining rooms who played loud music and the room the other side had tv on loud but that’s the lack of concern for others that’s all too common now and not the fault of the guest house. Breakfast was good and staff polite and helpful."

"Passei um final de semana para descansar e conhecer Canterbury. O tempo influência nas atividades externas, mas dentro da acomodação tudo funcionou bem. Pela distância da cidade, é um lugar que te obriga a fazer todas as refeições nele, não sendo muito em conta, apesar da alimentação ser saudável e gourmet. "Highly recommended, the staff was amazing, the property was amazing, and the facilities and being pet friendly also amazing was booked as an overnight stay after a long journey from the Dominican Republic via Madrid, Paris, and then the Channel Tunnel before a very long drive north to Scotland. The room was so comfortable, the restaurant 1st class and the value for money that included a wonderful breakfast was perfect. 15 minutes from the Channel tunnel so perfect for those who are traveling...

"We were delighted with our stay at The Ship Inn, right from the warm welcome to someone checking whether we'd left something behind. The building has lovely windows, with light and views coming in from all angles. The food was delicious, and we were particularly pleased to have a small bottle of real milk in our room. "
