Our stay at this house in Windham was extremely disappointing, mainly due to multiple serious issues that were never disclosed in the listing and an extremely rude host.
First, there is no cell phone service at all for any carrier. This is a major issue and absolutely should have been clearly stated in the house description. Being completely unreachable is not acceptable, especially for travelers.
Second, the TV was not working during our stay, another basic amenity that was listed but not provided.
When we arrived after a 4-hour drive, the bedsheets smelled very bad and were clearly not clean. We had no choice but to wash all the bedding ourselves as soon as we arrived, which is unacceptable for a rental.
To make matters worse, on the morning of our checkout, the hot water was shut off. This felt deliberate and possibly done out of spite after we reached out to the host about the issues. Either way, having no hot water on checkout morning is completely unacceptable.
Overall, poor communication, undisclosed problems, cleanliness issues, and a hostile response from the host made this a very unpleasant experience. I would not recommend staying here.
