A beautiful Victorian maisonette above the best coffee shop in Hastings (no. 1 on Restaurant Guru and no. 2 on Trip Advisor) and situated in the heart of the Old Town with the front of the building looking down on George Street and the rear looking out to sea.
The space
The accommodation is accessed on Marine Parade and parking is across the road in the car park or further along at Rock-a-Nore. George Street is the busiest street in the Old Town with many boutique shops, cafes, pubs, galleries, antiques, etc. It is the epicentre of the Old Town and as such can be quite loud late into the evening, especially at the weekends and during the summer.
The West Hill Funicular going up to Hastings Castle is less than a minute away and Rock a Nore is a few minutes stroll along the seafront with the Hastings Contemporary Art Gallery, Fisherman’s Museum, the Shipwreck Museum, Hastings Aquarium, the historic fishing huts, and lots more. The stairs, or East Hill Funicular can be taken up to the East Hill with the coastal paths, country park, great walks and stunning views. The town centre is about 8 minutes walk away. The seafront is across the road, along with the Miniature Railway, children’s playground, trampolines, Adventure Golf, etc.
The accommodation sleeps six in three bedrooms, with one king size bed, one double, and two single, all with duck feather pillows and duvets. High quality linen and soft furnishings are provided along with tea and coffee, etc; books and toys can be taken free of charge. A dining chair and cot with bedding are provided for children and pets are welcome.
