Cozy Cabin with Slip Dock on Lake Hartwell

This cozy cabin that I have owned for over 20 years is a wonderful example of late-20th-century modern vacation home design. Tastefully decorated and carefully updated, you’ll be pleasantly surprised at every turn.

- Wood-burning fireplace with firewood provided
- Weber gas grille
- 30x50 covered boat dock with slip for your boat and swim ladder
- Short walk to the dock
- Basement playroom with full-size pool table, wet bar, and 48” surround-sound TV
- Amazing gardens and landscaping
- Cornhole court and boards
- Mosquito treatment of the grounds – March thru October
Other Amenities
- 3 Bedrooms, 2 baths on main level, full bath in basement. Bedrooms feature a queen bed in the master, a queen bed in the second, and twin beds in the third. A surprisingly-comfortable queen-size air mattress is available for use in the basement allowing for up to eight guests. Approximately 1,100 sq. ft. on each level
- Stainless steel appliances including French-door refrigerator with in-door water/ice (cubed and crushed)
- Glass topped electric range
- High-efficiency electric heat pump
- Boat ramp just a little over a mile away
- Quiet neighborhood with lots of privacy
- 15 minutes from Hartwell, for quality shopping, restaurants, and live entertainment

Wonderful cabin and location with lake access. Our group thoroughly enjoyed morning coffees on the deck overlooking the lake and Doug has kayaks available that we enjoyed.Communication with Doug before and during our stay was great.

It was great! The house was beautiful and so was the area surrounding the house. There was a lot of entertaining things to do whether you want to hang out at the lake, play pool, cards or watch a movie. It was very clean and comfortable. We definitely would like to come back again.

We had a wonderful time at the "cottage". Everything was nice, clean and well stocked with the essentials. The host was extremely nice and inviting. We were truly able to rest and relax in this home. It was very comfortable with plenty of room for pur family. We will certainly be back!

Peaceful Paradise Cottage with Boat dock

From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the thoughtful design and top-tier amenities.I was traveling with my elderly mother for a wedding memorial weekend and needed a space that prioritized both comfort and accessibility. This cottage exceeded all expectations. The single-level bedroom layout made it easy for us to stay close, while the spacious lower level—with its wet bar and second refrigerator—was perfect for entertaining. It struck the perfect balance between shared space and private retreat.The host has clearly thought of everything. The kitchen is fully equipped, the living areas are cozy and welcoming, and the entertainment space downstairs is ideal for group activities. Having access to a washer and dryer was a much-appreciated convenience.A true highlight is the large private dock, nestled in a quiet cove away from the hustle of lake traffic—a peaceful spot to unwind by the water. It’s evident the host has put great care into making this cottage feel like a home away from home.If you're searching for a well-appointed, tranquil retreat with outstanding hospitality, look no further. Daughter's 21st birthday

My daughter turned 21 March 16th and was looking for a getaway. So that's exactly what we did. We really appreciated and enjoyed our stay. Everything was perfect and can't wait until next time.

Host couldn’t be nicer or more helpful

We stayed for the month of February. I am a bass fishing enthusiast. I have fished in many places and really enjoy it. The host Doug was extremely helpful with my boat and trailer and was willing to assist putting the boat in and taking it out. Pool table and fireplace were great.I would highly recommend this property and will be back myself.Phil from NY

Relaxing getaway

This is our second time staying and it was just as great as the first time. We love staying at this house. My husband enjoyed fishing all day while I stayed and read by the fire. It was so relaxing. The hosts are so nice and the best on VRBO.

Hartwell was Awesome

Me and a buddy fished a kayak bass tourney and stayed here. Wonderful place and very good host. Highly recommend it and will return on my next trip to Lake Hartwell.

Great stay

We were very pleased with our stay. It was peaceful and quite. We enjoyed being able to sit on the dock and fish, or just to enjoy the beauty of the lake. It was a pleasure to meet Doug and to talk for a while. We hope to return some time in the future.

Great weekend on the Lake

Weekend Away from Atlanta

Doug, the property owner was professional, friendly and responsive. The property is located on a great section of Lake Hartwell as it's quiet and private. We loved hanging out at the boat dock and using the kayak's and floaties. The beds were comfortable, and the place was clean and exactly as pictured.

Wonderful family getaway

This was the perfect property and home for what we needed. Our family of 5 stayed for a long weekend and it was perfect for fishing, floating in the lake, canoeing and just being together. Great family time!

The house was big enough for all of us to have fun yet cozy and warm. We celebrated our grandson’s graduation and 18th birthday with fishing on the dock (caught fish too) and played pool and used the sturdy kayaks for cruising up and down the immediate waterway. We were very close to the opening to the lake so had great view of boats going by. We could have sat out on the dock every night. It was sooooo peaceful and the fish seemed to bite better in the evening. Our time here with the family was one that each of us will remember forever…each of us for our own reasons. We truly had a wonderful time!
