Shady Potts Point Cottage Cooled by Ocean Breezes

Quaint, old fashioned and lovely cottage, shaded by huge trees and cooled by off-shore breezes in historic Potts Point. Start the day with a cup of coffee while curled up on the glassed-in side porch with a book, end the day watching the sunset over the water from the front porch. Wander to the beach or buy lobsters straight off the boat at Erica's at the Dolphin Marina. Take in the lobster boat races after a short walk to Pott's Point. Enjoy farmers markets, restaurants and the Maine State Music Theater in Brunswick and then come home to the peace of Harpswell.

This cottage was very cozy and was in a great spot for quiet, relaxing walks to the ocean. It was very clean, and had everything we needed as we were only there for a quick day and a half. The only downside was the beds were not made and we had to make them ourselves which was annoying since it was late when we got to the house.

We had another wonderful stay at the Pott's Point cottage. So many laughs, wonderful sunsets, hiking and kayaking. The cottage makes you feel so relaxed. Our host thought of all the most important facts about being there in this perfect location and put it all in a wonderful notebook. We will try to come back! Thank you

The cushion on all the chairs were very thin and were really not comfortable. We loved the sun porch and spend all our time on it. The kitchen was very well stocked.

This house is located in a perfect spot for ocean views and cool breezes. Our vacation was cut short unfortunately one of our dogs became very ill and we had to rush home after a couple of days. Hopefully, weā€™ll be able to come back and visit.

Comfortable home in lovely location. Wonderful veranda and closed-in sun room to enjoy !! Quiet neighbourhood and easy access to beach (for walking and exploring). Gorgeous sunsets. Everything you expect to enjoy on a holiday in Maine !

Great spot. See water one way but get the breezes from both east and west. Great porches in and out. Beds are fine. Ate at ericas and dolphin marina..recommend both. Hope to return next summer

This is our fifth stay at the "Toy House," as my girls dubbed this Potts Point gem several years ago. We keep coming back for the comfort and at-ease-ness we feel here, and how close it is to all the fun Harpswell has to offer! Thank you, Molly and family, for sharing your home with us!

Our third stay at Mollyā€™s wonderful house. Everything about it suits us. We love unwinding on the porch and in the hammock and digging out the old fisher price collection for the kiddos. Sunsets and tide pools and seaglass in the quiet of the neighborhood makes for the perfect Maine summer trip. Thank you for sharing your special house with us!

Third year renting here, with more years to come. While we were there the area experienced unusually strong thunderstorms, which lead to county-wide power outages (owner was wonderful keeping us updated). But you know you've found a very special place when your whole family still has an amazing time (even a moody preteen without wifi!) This place is homey and cozy. A pure gem!

cute cottage near the water. my only complaint was the rules on the garbage during checkout. we were expected to carry the garbage and recyclables a few miles to the local transfer station. unfortunately, it was closed on the last 2 days of our visit.

Last minute long weekend getaway with the kids. It was absolutely perfect! Cottage had everything anyone could need or want and was very clean and welcoming. Truly felt like home away from home! Absolutely loved the short walk to Potts Point Preserve where we were so lucky to witness a breathtaking sunset. Was a short and scenic drive to the Desert of Maine in Freeport, which was a great time as well! Canā€™t wait to do it again next year! Best part for me, as a busy mom with 3 kids, was getting to sit in the lovely glassed in porch and read a book - dream come true!

Very quiet area this time of year. It was super peaceful with little to no traffic. If you want to unplug from city living it is a great place. The sunroom is comfortable. TV is just DVD's, so you need to be ready for quiet or really like movies. Great views even in the fog. Have a rental car and be ready to drive. Best stop is Pammy's for Ice Cream...nicest people in the world own this little shop down the street.

Sisters and friends get together every year at this time. Wonderful location. We walked to Pott's Point, ate lobster rolls AND cooked lobster. People so friendly. Cottage clean and we loved both the front porch and the sunny screened porch for our morning coffee. Lovely!

Very well appointed cottage, close to water access in lovely area of Harpswell, ME. Lots to see and do nearby (kids will be happy on the nearby beach and the cottage has toys, games and videos.) Adults can enjoy local preserve trails, boat ramp is close, or just sit on the lovely front porch and relax. Several local eating places or everything necessary to prepare meals onsite. Perfect spot from which to experience the Maine coast.

Perfect for families who want to slow down and relax on vacation. The cottage is so welcoming and very comfortable - itā€™s like staying at a old friendā€™s house. One day the biggest decision was where to relax - rocking on the porch, swinging in the hammock, or lounging in the sunroom (this tired mom managed to enjoy all 3!). Especially appreciate all the toys, games and puzzles - perfect for a rainy day - kept the kids occupied (with no arguing) all day! The area is perfect for exploring - we spent a few hours at Potts Point and Seaglass Beach. Thank you for sharing such a special place. We will be back soon - wish we hadnā€™t stayed away so long!

This was our 4th year at Pott's Point and we loved every minute of it! The cottage is very comfortable for our family of 4, and remained so when my parents stayed for two nights. We love using the cottage as a home base to explore Harpswell, but also as our home away from home, enjoying the cozy, traditional feel, the well stocked kitchen, and the porches with their exceptional views! Molly as always was attentive and helpful. We'll be back in '24!!

We like to cook when we are together and the kitchen had all we needed to help put together what we had brought with us. The porch was our go to place. Lovely, even in the rain.
