"A very clean, comfortable house. We had thought about doing the hotel rooms route, but are so thankful that we chose the Culp House. Myself and my two adult sons were able to spend our free time together, and bond like we haven't been able to since they were teenagers. And best of all it is so centrally located within walking distance of the center of Gettysburg."

"Perfect location! Far enough away from the busy hustle and bustle, but close enough (10 min) to take multiple trips into Gettysburg throughout each day. Love being able to drive past so much history on our way in! Owners were wonderful about allowing us to have our pets! Only surprise was no access to washer and dryer and no grill. I should have paid attention to the listing better! Didn't put a dent in our trip though! Home was extremely clean and very welcoming! We loved sitting on the porch...

"It was a wonderful home. Spacious, lots of amenities, very adequate parking, air conditioning for those hot humid days,quiet neighborhood,etc.. We would reserve this place again. "

"Loved the view off of the deck...just beautiful! Our girls enjoyed canoeing, swimming, and fishing (sunfish, bass & perch). The owner was very accommodating and quick to respond to our needs and questions. Location is close to Gettysburg (10-15 min) and there's a nearby grocery store for shopping. Excellent place to get away on a family vacation, especially if you love the beauty of the outdoors! "

"Great location! My mom and I absolutely loved the General’s Hideaway for our trip to Gettysburg. We even loved the pool table and played a few games. We brought my Mom’s service dog with us and the hosts made sure to include a bed and supplies for him if needed, which was very sweet of them. We brought food to cook during our stay and finding everything in the kitchen was a breeze! We loved the layout. The beds were extremely comfortable as well. "We stayed at this property for a girls’ weekend and absolutely loved it!! It is a beautiful and spacious home located in a very quiet area. We were able to enjoy some relaxing moments hanging out in the hot tub and making crafts at the huge table in the dining room. The fire pit area is set up very nicely and had we visited in the fall, we would have enjoyed using it. The weather was just too warm for us to build a fire. I would definitely recommend this rental and would stay here again!"

"Absolutely stunning place! Super clean upon arrival and decorated perfectly for Gettysburg! After long hours of walking in the heat of the summer, it was perfect to come home to a cold house! I was initially worried about the house size and whether or not the AC was going to cool the house effectively with only window units but it was not an issue at all!
