"The Boniview inn outperformed every expectation I had. Our room was clean the king-size bed, totally comfortable and a spectacular view. My entire hope for this stay was to be able to play with Waters sports. And I did so endlessly canoeing, kayaking and paddle boating. The water equipment was clean and the lake large enough to completely connect with solitude. The food in the dining room was excellent and the outdoor patio lively and delicious. "Room was very dated and requires a complete makeover. Probably hasn’t been updated in 40 years or more.
Cobweb on ceiling above bed and bugs on wall and floor near bathroom. Bathroom also requires updating, toilet height was only 12” not helpful if you have hip or knee issues. Height of vanity low. Bathroom sink had a crack in it and drain hole was rusted. Towels were fairly old and needed to be replaced,
Bed was comfortable but could do with newer linens.
TV was analog so unable to get any...
"The stay was good, but the room definitely felt a little smaller than the pictures showed. It looked like the photos were with a wide eyed lens, so the rooms seemed larger than they actually were.
Otherwise the stay was good."
"very steep stairs leading to rooms. Property is showing signs of wear and tear. We received emails regarding questions of access and connection to after-hours staff after we left!!! The room was clean and well stocked but showed its age. there is a much better option 10 minutes up the road for almost half the price. There are no extra amenities to speak of . Basically, there are only 2 options within the village and thus, this one is overpriced. Stay in Haliburton or Bracebridge instead."
