"We got stuck in the area after the ferries were cancelled and lucked into a one night stay here, and now we can’t wait to come back. They were so sweet and helpful receiving unexpected guests. They went out of their way to accommodate us and help us relax. And wow it’s so beautiful. I went birding first thing and there was so many birds. I could see eagles and seals from our room. It is truly stunning, but I still think the staff were my favourite part!"

"Gibson garden hotel is where we usually stay in our trips to Sunshine Coast. Beautiful garden area.. clean rooms, good air conditioning. In our last stay the room had small kitchen which was awesome, also very close to pool and gym. My kids really enjoyed their stay."

"We had a great stay - the spot is beautiful with loads of amenities. The unit has all you need for the stay, nice views. The outdoor hot tub and gas fire pits were quite special. Short drive to Parksville and other sites. The trip exceeded our expectations. The hosts were lovely to deal with. Would def recommend. "

"When they say rustic they mean it. Hot tub is great but the rest of the property has seen better days. We could not turn the air conditioning off. Owner finally turned the breaker off. The fridge froze fruit and vegetables. For us, the main bed, despite being listed as orthopaedic, was inflexible. The second room and sofabed are slightly more flexible. Noone slept comfortably. Overall lack of lighting and dark wood walls makes it a very dim place to stay. "
