No, this house is filled with a spirit of its own where you can feel the life of all those that have passed through these doors. If the walls could speak it would tell you the stories of some great writer who sat where you are now staring out to the stream below. If there was one word to describe this house...

"Great place to stay - just as advertised. While not fancy or luxurious, it is very nice, comfortable and clean and in a spectacular location. Having morning coffee on lanai overlooking the ocean cannot be beat. Probably the best stocked kitchen in rental that we have ever had. Saul is an attentive (in a very good way) host. He provides great welcoming touches, including a bottle of wine and fresh cut flowers."

"This is our second year renting out this house. It was a perfect fit the first year so we wanted to come back again this year. The house is spacious with the upstairs and downstairs rooms, bathrooms. The garage was big enough to fit two vehicles which was perfect for the rainy days. The house is fully stocked with all the amenities. We would stay here again if needed and would highly recommend families to do so too. This was truly our home away from home. Mahalo!"

"We decided to rent a beach house to house a few family members who flew over from Catalina Island to come to my Dad's Celebration of Life! Both my Aunt and Uncle from Catalina Island are 87 and 90 Years old. The house was very comfortable and easily accessible with a cane. Although we did experience some rainfall having the rocks embedded in the entrance floor and stairs made it easy for them to go up and down the stairs. My mother and I took advantage of the Kayaks and stand up paddle board one...

"Loved our stay at this lovely cottage set on 9 beautiful acres. It felt like we were actually guests of the original plantation house. Stayed for thirteen nights, and were joined by our daughter for five nights. Plenty of room for the three of us. Favorite times were morning coffee and afternoon cocktails on the veranda. Easy drive to both Hilo and Volcano, and Foodland grocery is a mile away. Highly recommend."

"The rental process was easy. Access was easy. The house was clean and copious amenities were available. The location was central to many of our experiences. We felt like we were able to really learn the roads and felt accomplished when we were able to find our way without using Maps. The ocean right outside of most windows and doors was exactly what I wanted and the sound of the waves was perfect for sleep. Very loud at times but so what? Loud in a really good way. No problem with bugs, even...

"This house was a great place for our 3-day visit to Hilo and the east side of the Big Island. The location is great, and easy to find. The house had everything we needed, and gave us a good sleep and start/end to our days. We didn't spend much time there during the day, as we were out seeing the volcano, driving to the south end of the island, and looking around Hilo. We had a wonderful visit."

We saw whales, stars, goats, wild pigs, sunrises, ships and barges, beautiful waves, and fruit trees. It was peaceful and quiet—away from all the people and bustle. But a quick trip to Hilo and other small towns with amenities. Perfect location to go to Volcanoes or just anywhere on the island."

"This is a great place to stay to get away from it all! Close enough to Hilo to get back into the all of you want. We also wound up driving north around the island to the west side a bit more than towards Hilo. Just sitting on the porch and looking out at the sky & ocean was so peaceful. Wish we had better weather. Got 1.5 sunrises and one night starry sky out of 7 nights but, that was only the fault of Mother Nature. Still so peaceful in the rain. The cottage itself is fine for two people, tho...
