"Very little information provided about access and parking and no hot water or heating which we had to contact the owner about. Boiler had to be turned on every morning and was leaking badly. Not what we expected to have to do and what we paid for. Crockery is old and chipped and needs to be replaced."

"What a lovely cottage in a beautiful location. On an arrival it was lovely to have a little welcome package and to find the cottage spotlessly clean. It had everything we needed. No need to have brought wash liquid, toilet rolls etc. The surrounding area is fantastic and is convenient for local amenities.Wish we could have stayed longer. "

"Really lovely property , great location peaceful lots of beautiful landscapes around . Only comments would be to be prepared to purchase basics like Toilet paper , laundry detergent, no dryer * Could be an issue in cooler weather . Extra towels would be a big help too. But overall great place"

"We had a wonderful few days staying in The Old Smiddy cottage. Fiona and David were wonderful hosts, very attentive whilst being happy to give us our space. The cottage itself was very comfortable, all the rooms were a nice size, very clean and well presented. The garden was lovely and we particularly enjoyed watching the wildlife in the burn from the garden!The area is fantastic for enjoying nature and family activities.We would definitely recommend staying here for a couple or small family."
