The Best Little Beach House on the Oregon Coast



The Space:

A sunny, oceanfront house with plenty of room to spare, perfect for a big family gathering or an old friends reunion. When we say oceanfront, we mean oceanfront: Walk 50 feet south and you’re on the sand.



What’s nearby

Head a few miles north and you’ll be in Lincoln City, one of the main hubs of the Oregon Coast, with plenty of activities and dining options. Right outside your door (aside from the beach) is the quiet community of Gleneden Beach. There isn’t too much around aside from a few local favorites like the Side Door Cafe—the perfect spot to grab a late lunch.

Needs large serving spoon, small fry pan, fireplace maintenance (noisy), back sliding door & screen tracts need cleaning. Very hard to open the door. (I turned 89 this trip) Bathroom close to the 2 bedrooms (tub & shower fixtures coming loose). I have stayed here many times. Never had issues before.Love the view & location. Thank you

Absolutely breathtaking ocean views. Gorgeous area. Very cute little place with everything one could need. Its outdated but overall, a pleasant a stay. There is a mildew smell but thats to be expected at most beach front stays. The 4 stars is the lack of honesty about the beach access. It isn't just "50 steps to the beach". It's 50 steps to a public access and then a small hike holding on by rope down a steep rocky path. Which, for some people would be quite difficult. The outdoor chairs that other reviews mentioned have been replaced.

View was exactly as pictured, beautiful. We enjoyed our stay. Location was great. House was primarily clean, though found some random dog hairs on one of the couches. Three broken plastic chairs were left on the deck. The other two were fine. Wish deck could have been a little more private, but saw that in the pictures. At least the people who looked down on us from the second story deck next door waved to us and were friendly. There was conflicting information regarding parking in the garage. A note posted at the property said that we should not park in garage. Information we received from VRBO said okay to park in garage. Was a little confused regarding payment process because of emails from both Vacasa and VRBO, though representative did clarify. Overall, we were satisfied with our stay. Thank you.

Great view and location but house is tired and needs to be better maintained. New mattresses and deck chairs among other items are needed. Check-in was simple and kitchen was well stocked.

Comfortable Beach House

Great property in a wonderful location between Depoe Bay and Lincoln City within walking distance to two restaurants, coffee and local pub. Property does allow dogs and I wouldn’t recommend it for people that wouldn’t want to ho to someone’s house who has pets. Property was comfortable and clean and I didn’t notice any pet hair, but there was the faint smell of pets. It wasn’t anything unpleasant, but it was there when you walked in from outside. No need to bring your white noise machine because property is right on the beach and you can hear waves crashing 24/7 from each room. Great spot for a family vacation.

Not Pet Friendly

If you have dogs that like to explore then choose a different location. Our dogs ended up getting stuck on the side of the cliff. There’s no gate blocking the yard in towards the ocean. The beach access isn’t easy either. The cleanliness was not good. There was hair on a pillow (only two small pillows per bed and one in the closet had pee stains on it), there were very dirty dishes and the top of the refrigerator was absolutely nasty. A positive was the view!

Lovely Escape

The location is amazing and very close to beach access. We enjoyed the layou and the back yard. Updates could be made, but it didnt impact our stay.

So Perfect

This little house is the Best! My niece and my nephew's new little family and our dogs stayed here for an after Christmas family get away! It was perfect! My nephew kept complimenting the great layout of the house and how comfortable it was. It was great that the beach access was near by and the views from the deck and the windows...I will be back! My new favorite house! The little community of Glenden Beach is great too. Thank you so much!

Good enough, had some issues…

Lower lockbox would not open. The kitchen floor was sticky. Sprayer in the sink leaked. Bed in the yellow room needed attention, squeaky and lumpy. The view was incredible but the yard needs a fence, we traveled with children and it was dangerous to let them in the yard alone. The drop to the beach from the yard without a fence is a disaster waiting the happen. We paid a considerable amount of money for less than adequate facility.

Great views

We enjoyed our stay - the front bedroom and living room have a beautiful view of the beach. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well-appointed. We didn't bring our dogs, but the dog set up was cute - there are toys in the backyard just for them. We had no trouble getting down to the beach, but this is not the place for you if you can't climb down a rocky hill. The hill has a rope for support, which the kid enjoyed.

Beach access?

Everything was wonderful except beach access. While the access to the beach was close, it was too steep and not safe for anyone with mobility issues. Otherwise, we loved the house!
