"The location of the cottage in Carloway is great for exploring the island of Lewis, it’s archeological sites, many walks and hikes. There is a well stocked shop in town for anything you need. The house is cozy and peaceful looking out on the loch in front. The kitchen has good supplies for cooking. It is the perfect place for rest and renewal in the beauty of the western isles, and also as a base for outdoor activities."

"The property was very comfortable and spacious. Everything necessary was available. We couldn't have asked for more and didn't expect what we found at at a very honest price. We cannot fault John for his cooperation and his management of the property. The information available was comprehensive and up to date. "Everyone should put it on there bucket list. The owner was outstanding, very informative and helpful in all aspects of the trip. I would highly recommend the motorhome option on the Hebrides — but only —if people are comfortable driving a large vehicle on some very tiny Scottish roads. The motorhome was great and drove very nicely, and had everything needed for a wonderful stay. The only weak link will be the drive for him or herself.
