"Host was super responsive. Cabin was brand new and in excellent shape. Very nice, thoughtful decor. Driveway quite steep but doable. Access to the lake is quite a long walk away from the house, as the only drawback. Otherwise a lovely place and would highly recommend!"

"I fell in love as soon as I saw the cottage. I came here with my son's. We didn't get to do much since our stay was short and there was a downpour, but it perfect to unwind/de-stress. Loved the VCR and the movie selection. It took me back to the day's when my eldest son was younger (now an adult). Funny how he only chose the cartoon movies to play. "This is my friend and my third time coming to the ADK region for vacation in the fall-this is by far our best experience yet. Joe not only sent an email with the check in process but also made sure I received it and had his cell phone number for any issues. The cabin was spotless and cozy- the little touches of decorations/candles gave it a very welcoming feel. The area was beautiful, so many places to hike and explore! It was great to have a fire by the river in the evenings and a cup of coffee...

"We had such a great stay at this property. Unfortunately the weather did not cooperate and it rained the whole time we were visiting. At the end of a long day of sight-seeing it was so nice to come home to a cozy spot. Everything about the listing is spot on, so many little comforts provided by the hosts - coffee pods, linens, towels, welcome bottle of local sparkling water. Can't wait to return when it's not raining cats and dogs."

"My husband I stayed for a long weekend. Location was close enough to town if you wanted to be out and about but perfect to also pour a glass of wine and stay in. The cabin was clean and had all the essentials you would need. Would definitely recommend!"

"My adult daughter, our dog, and I stayed for 2 nights - it was quaint and cozy. We had the gas fireplace on twice when it got chilly outside, and bought our meals from local restaurants and ate them inside the cabin. We went for walks and explored gift shops - the cabin was in a great location. Austin (property host) was excellent - answered my questions and gave suggestions for dining and beaches. My daughter and i had a wonderful, relaxing stay."

Bugs didnt seem to be a problem. Decent kitchen. Yard torches didnt light. Laundry room bed was springy and not comfortable. Was told the other one was a little better. Shower needs anti-slip. "We had a fantastic stay at John’s home on Great Sacandaga Lake. The house is small but has everything you need. Very clean and tidy. There’s a beautiful view of the lake directly from the house and the access to the lake is great. You have to cross the street for the access point but there’s a flat grassy area with a fire pit right on the bank. Would definitely stay here again!"
