Take a look at the photos and you'll quickly see why this home is the perfect home away from home, and one to return to again and again. The owners have gone all out to stock this island cottage for fun, comfort, adventure, and relaxation.

Nestled in the heart of the island neighborhood known as Midtown, this cool, coastal cottage has street parking, and is a short walk to the beach, fantastic neighborhood restaurants, and the famous Seawall. For those who want to add some steps to their walk, Pleasure Pier and Murdock's are not far away. "The Stand" is a quick car ride away or just a little over 2 miles from the porch steps.

This home has a cook's kitchen, stocked to make a crab boil, Thanksgiving Dinner, or a cake for dessert. The lights in the vent hood above the stove illuminate the stove top to help you watch what you are stirring, flip pancakes with precision, and see the steam coming off the pots. The refrigerator has plenty of room for feast making ingredients, juice for the kids, and wine for dinner, (bring your food and drinks). The freezer has an ice maker, room for bagged ice, and plenty of room for tasty treats to keep everyone cool on hot days. No need to do the dishes, a new dishwasher is waiting to be loaded with dirty dishes and silverware. The owner's thought of everything, a 10-12 cup coffee maker, (two packets of coffee will be provided with each making a 10-12 cup pot of coffee, sides provided) and a Keurig, (bring your favorite Keurig cups), pots, pans, cutting boards and cookie sheets. Items not normally found in vacation rental kitchens like extra silverware, potatoes mashers, ice cream scoops, and turkey roasters will be provided. There is plenty of room in the cupboard for dry goods and there is a cabinet stocked with spices.

There are multiple places to eat and drink. The dining room has large windows that let in plenty of sunlight. The whimsical dining table and eclectic chairs can seat up to 8 people. There is a breakfast table for 2 in the living room, an outdoor dining table that can seat up to 8 and an outside breakfast table for up to 4. Extra chairs for indoor use are available throughout the lower level of the house and in the yard, there are chairs to spare for outdoor use.

The living room is the perfect indoor gathering space. There is plenty of seating for gathering with family and friends with the couch, loveseat, stuffed rocking chair, breakfast table, and a round coffee table with 4 nesting stools. For entertainment on rainy days there is a Smart TV, a DVD player with a large assortment of DVD's, games, puzzles, coloring books, and playing cards.

The four upstairs bedrooms have been named in honor of the homeowners North Star birthplace, Minnesota. The Excelsior, Prince, Schultz, and Fitzgerald bedrooms embrace the vibrate colors of the tropics and the chic and shabby décor of a beach house. Each room has large windows and is furnished with double beds, dressers, fans, lamps, night's stands, full length and mounted mirrors. Each room has a good-sized closet with plenty plastic hangers. The Prince and Schultz room even have light blocking shades.

The yard is the perfect size to hang out and enjoy the salty breeze and bright sunshine of Galveston Island. Before the island wakes up you can hear the ocean, the horns of the cruise ships, and the whistle of the trains. Enjoy the company of your friends and family in the multiple gathering spots that include a gas fit pit or find you own retreat in the many intimate seating areas to read and relax.

Landscaping and gardens surround the home. The gems of the yard are the majestic live oak trees that provided shade and tranquility. The focal point of the fenced in back yard is a tropical garden and throughout the yard you will find cactus, succulents, young fruit trees, and in the spring the sweet smells of the Wisteria and Jasmine fill the air!

Home Rules
Quiet hours 9 pm-9 am.
Vendors have access to the homes on their scheduled day. Service days have the possibility of changing.
Landscape vendors access the home once per week and have access to the backyard.
A laundry bag will be dropped off 1-2 days prior to departure. No need to worry, please leave it where it has been placed.
This rental property is not used for Nuisance Parties or Unlawful Gatherings. 6 adult maximum plus their dependent children are allowed at the property.
If available, fees applied for early check in and late check out being up to 80% of the nightly rate depending on time requested
Unauthorized late check-out will incur a penalty of $150 + tax.
For your safety and security, there may be public-facing cameras installed on the property.

We do our best to ensure guests have a 5-star experience. Guests will be provided with a start-up supply of household items such as laundry soap, dish soap, paper towels, toilet paper, etc so that upon check-in you do not need to run to the store. We do not provide salt, pepper, oils, and spices. If you are staying longer than a few days you will need to purchase these items. Thank you!

Important Note: We want you to enjoy your stay to the fullest, Please be aware amenities may break or not work during your stay and we ll do our best to accommodate you. May an amenity not work or fail during your stay we will do our best to make it right, and we can refund up to 10% of the affected nights to make it right. You have to let us know at the time of notice so we can do our best to remedy the situation.
