Constructed in 2016, Family Tides offers luxury at its finest with high ceilings, tri-ceilings in almost every bedroom, and marble countertops throughout! Open-concept living makes this large home feel open and inviting - great for relaxing and catching up with loved ones.

This kitchen is grand; with custom cabinets, under-cabinet lighting, lots of windows to let the sunshine in, a huge pantry, high-end appliances (including a wine frig), and a large dining room table (enough seats for your whole family).

The house features 4 bedrooms, 3.5 baths, and sleeps 10. The Master suite bathroom offers a soaking tub and a large separate shower.

Cancellation: Guest receives 100% (Of what was paid minus the cancellation fee) if cancellation occurs more than 90 days before arrival; Guest receives 50% (Of what was paid minus cancellation fee) if cancellation occurs more than 30 days before arrival; No refunds.

Must be 25 years or older to reserve & must stay at home. Rental agreement with mailing address, names and ages of everyone staying, govt. issued ID, selfie, & vehicle information required, no access even if paid in full.

No events, prom, graduation, or parties of any sort with prior written approval. Additional fees may apply.

No access is granted without a rental agreement being signed by the guest and approved by Coastal Waves Vacations LLC - even if paid in full. We require your mailing address, names and ages of all individuals staying at the home, vehicle information, and full pet information for pet-friendly homes.

Most single-family homes on the beach are built on pilings. Guests must climb a full set of stairs to reach the first floor/main living area.

Pointe West Beach Club:

Spend a wonderful day at the pool or beach at the luxurious Pointe West Beach Club. Pointe West offers numerous amenities including, an infinity pool, children's pool, lazy river, closed until 1/15/2023 center, gift shop, and restaurant. The Resort is independently run and charges $25 per person, (3 years or older) The use of the Beach Club is optional and not required to stay in the home. The access fee is paid by credit card or cash directly to the Beach Club and is not included in rental rates.

The community is easily walkable. Golf Carts are a great way to get around as well. However, golf carts dune buggies or any other types are vehicles are not allowed on Galveston beaches, dunes, or wetlands; this is city law!

Vacation 2022

The house on Jamaica Beach was amazing. Clean and beautiful. Awesome location and the beachclub was awesome. The house on Hershey Beach was horrible and should not be allowed to be rented out to anyone. That house was misrepresented as to the pictures on the website versus what we walked in to. VRBO was very nice to work with and followed through with everything they promised.

Nice property for families. Great beach access and a very clean beach. Access to the beach club that has a beautiful infinity pool. You also have access to a small lazy river pool. More than enough water activities for everyone in the family.

Beach Getaway

This house was perfect for our family which consisted of my husband and me; our daughter, her husband, and their one-year-old daughter; our son, his wife, and their three-year-old son. We ate every meal at the house and the house has a great selection of cookware, etc. The house is close to the beach and just a short drive to the pool.

Great Vacation Spotps

We have never been to Galveston or even thought about it. But circumstances changed our usual family trip to the Jersey shore. I was a little nervous having no frame of reference about Galveston. It was so much better than expected! The house was better than shown in pictures. Everything we needed was there and the beach just steps away. The beach was perfect for our two young grandchildren. The club house pool and the lazy river made for hours of fun. We discovered some great little places to shop and eat. We could not be any happier with our experience.

Nice but needs to be sprayed for ants!

The house was nice. Kitchen was large and ample room for many cooks in the kitchen. Noticed ants in kitchen and 2nd floor bedroom and contacted property manager. Was told maintenance would come but never did. Inquired twice about this. Bought Raid and sprayed the areas but ants still a nuisance. Laundry pods placed in kitchen with dishwasher pods. Ran the dishwasher since no label and water/suds throughout part of kitchen. Both situations were not ideal, but we still had a nice vacation. Kinda peeved that the ants were never addressed.

Great house, but.......

The house was as pictured. The thing that they do not show you is that the community has grown and the houses are super close to each other and there is construction going on all over the community. The location is about 30 minutes away from everything, so you spend at least an hour of your day driving if you go into the seawall area. I was very surprised to find that there was no broom or mop at the house, we had to go buy one. The kitchen is pretty well stocked, but there was only 1 pot holder. I don't think we will be staying here again.

Very easy rental process, house was great, easy walk to beach, plenty of beach toys! Would suggest book on house to be left at property : places to eat, how to use the appliances, work the doors, TV options. The area and closeness to the Beach Club is a a true winner for the property!

Birthday Weekend Getaway

It was wonderful! We came in for a weekend getaway with our kiddos and grand babies to celebrate my husbandā€™s birthday! The home was beautiful and roomy, just perfect for our group! There were plenty of places to hang out both inside and out. Short walk to the beach, which was great for the 4 babies. They loved it!! Would definitely stay here again! šŸ˜

Double nickel celebration

We loved this getaway for my husband's 55th birthday. We were bummed about not being able to use the beach resort due to the cold and windy weather. Since we had 4 children in our party, we didn't want to risk any of them getting sick being in and out of the water. So we lost $150. It looked amazing though with 3 pools, the restaurant and access to the gym. It was a bit of a walk from our property but really not too far, so in the summer when weather is warmer it would be a nice stroll. But staying at Family Tides was wonderful because it was spacious, had a large kitchen (which is where our family usually gathers anyway). The kitchen was fully equipped so since we stayed mostly indoors, we were able to cook and enjoy home cooked meals. The decor and furniture were beautiful, clean and very functional! The bathrooms could have used more soaps and extra towels so be sure to bring your own. They don't supply beach towels so you need to bring those too. We especially loved the 3 different patios we could just sit and relax in. When it wasn't too cold we were able to take out our kites and fly them! We would like to come back and make full use of the beach resort next time! It would be nice if we could get a refund or credit for our resort passes since we couldn't use it. Otherwise we had a fabulous stay!

Great house. Quick walk to the beach.

Rental experience was great. Coast Vacations personnel were very responsive. Nice that they provided starter items like toilet paper, soap etc. House was exactly as described, very spacious and tasteful decorated. Kitchen is huge but could use some better cooking equipment if youā€™re really into cooking. Lots of beach toys. Bring or rent your own beach chairs as the ones available arenā€™t great. Overall itā€™s a really wonderful house, perfect for two families. Nice setting. Highly recommend.

Great property

Easy short walk to beach with kids. MUST TAKE BUG SPRAY! Mosquitos were everywhere. Don't take Any beach toys they have plenty. They also have chairs and a wagon. Need to bring your own boogie boards though. They also have salt and pepper and a few other seasonings. They have muffin pans, cookie sheets, and plenty of pots and pans. Only 1 TV in entire house and that's in the living room (it is a smart TV though) . They have an alexa. Beautiful kitchen area and large dining room table. Huge closets but no coat hangers upstairs. We didn't need it though just a heads up.

A little concerned about the cleanliness

In short, when we arrived there were a few things that caught our attention. We did not have garbage bags, nor do we have soap for our hands in the bathrooms as they were empty. The kitchen was great but had several insects such as silverfish in the alive and moving, and spiders very actively in the pantry. We also noticed major spider webbing on the chairs in the dining room as well as MOLD (of which wiped one with bleach which helped it seems) in the two vents in the ceiling of the family room and dining. Each corner of the home had something growing either a Web or an active site for bug activity. And finally- We were out on time. The Ottoman probably needs to be replaced as it was full of stains. I also took pictures To further support this. I would suggest changing out the toilet seat in the master as well as the handrails around the property definitely needed painting. I hate to say this but I would think it might be better to hire a different cleaning company that might be more thorough? Just a thoughtā€¦ But overall a great property!

Great property and great location

We had a wonderful stay at this property. The house was clean and modern and the property managers were attentive and responsive. Though the kitchen is big, itā€™s not that well equipped, so if you want to cook meals here, you need to bring some stuff. For example, there are no pans (there are some pots and one very small pan but no larger or regular sized frying pans). The grill also has a rusting wheel and so it tilts and can be a little hazardous. That being said, the mattresses are awesome and the place is very nice. You are also a very short walk to the beach and itā€™s hard to beat the location. We would definitely return.

Thankful for our time here!

We loved our long weekend in this home! The hammock and outdoor chairs were wonderful. Plenty of places to sit to eat both indoors and out. We made it work, but would have loved to have had a casserole dish and non-stick pan or electric griddle in the kitchen. Clocks in the bedrooms and hangers in the closets would have been a nice touch (or add them to the ā€œto bringā€ list). Thank you for the memories, Family Tides!
