Absolutely disgusting place to stay! We showed up Thursday around 6pm, I had trouble with the lock box, the host responded very quickly. This was my fault. I then contacted him again about the lack of towels, toilet paper and the general condition of the home. I was offered a full refund to check out immediately. Seeing as we were in town for the NHRA races they're were no vacancies to be had. We were rather stuck. I was told it was the cleaners fault and that they were bringing items to us by 8pm. Those never materialized nor did the host check back with me again. I went to town and purchased all the items needed for the weekend myself. The condition of the home was disgusting, from the walls to the bathroom, floors were sticky and gritty on hardwood. The list grew constantly! The dirty linens were in the closet waded up. The coffee pot was full of mold top and bottom. (I wish I could post pics) there was food in the fridge however not past expiration date? Could it belong to the backyard garage resident? Maybe? This is true, he lives there he has water electric, A/C a ceiling fan bed and from what I saw it may be cleaner than the house. He came out occasionally and had a guest over on Saturday night my father spoke to him for awhile. The friend claimed no one had rented the place in quite awhile.making me wonder just how much access this renter has to the house. Unfortunately I only get 1500 characters to review. So I'll just say! I will never use VRBO again!!!

Very rough
Dirty. Squatter living in backyard shed. Tub and bathroom sink did not drain. No hot water. If it had not been a UF football weekend, we would have left and went to a hotel. (No hotels available at that late notice).

Did not feel great about it, to say the least
To start, I tried to talk to VRBO about this directly and haven't received any follow up to the complaint. I didn't really want to make a public comment, but there are a few things wished I'd known before booking the place. If I hadn't been traveling with a group of people, I wouldn't have felt comfortable staying here. There was a man living in the backyard. We discovered this soon after check-in, when we realized there was no hot water. We went to the backyard to check for a water heater, and one of us looked into the shed a few yards behind the house. He was asleep inside. I messaged the property owner about both the man and the hot water. When he didn't respond, I called him. He explained that the hot water was likely off because the house had had a gas leak from the oven earlier and they had shut it off the gas to fix it. It took another day for someone to come out and turn it back on. We showered at another residence owned by the property owner, which was not clean. The property owner never addressed the man in the backyard. We talked to the man a bit throughout our stay and he seemed nice enough, but if you are anticipating a totally vacant property this one isn't it.

The host was extremely accommodating from early check in to late check out. Very responsive and communicating. Location was close to campus. Yard was perfect for a cook out with family.

Lawrence was outstanding and an epic host the hospitality everything was nice and clean it was a beautiful little spot couldn’t have asked for more definitely will be Coming back eventually!!!
