"We had a wonderful stay! The house was beautiful and accommodating! We ate our meals on the beautiful deck every day and enjoyed the beautiful view! The fire pit was wonderful to have fires at every night! We loved Kim the property manager very nice and easy to get ahold of! Tom the owner was very gracious and a great communicator as well! We definitely recommend 10/10"

"As people over 75 the steps were a little tricky"

"We spent the weekend at this cottage and were able to host a graduation celebration for approximately 25. There was good space for accommodating a BBQ. Steve was very responsive and the kitchen and bathroom were stocked with needed items. Beautiful view of the lake! "

"Cute, quaint and comfortable, and fit the four of us. Loved the kayaks on the quiet lake. Great stop in Angola (hit the arts fest and farmers market). Friendly neighbors too with the cutest dogs. And Fort Wayne definitely worth a visit - especially Promenade Park!"

"We greatly enjoyed our time at the Doctor's Cottage. The quaint and clean retreat is located in an idyllic spot for a relaxing time away from everyday stress. The lake lives up to it's name. The depth around the dock is just right for wading, playing, or jumping into a kayak. Our host communicated clearly and quickly, displaying a sincere desire for a pleasant stay."

"We truly enjoyed our stay. The location and access to the lake was excellent. Easy check in. Might want to bring a full sized knife and all seasonings/oil you’ll need to cook, but otherwise it worked well to prepare our meals as needed. "We had such a wonderful time kayaking in hidden alcoves on the lake, cruising around on the pontoon boat, and enjoying a beautiful view while toasting marshmallows over the campfire. The house was beautiful, quiet, and super clean. The beds were comfortable and the inside temperature was wonderfully cool. The fridge had plenty of space. The bunk bed setup was absolutely charming. It was the perfect gathering place for a few friends and family to get together. We would definitely recomend this...

"Beautiful setting. Has all the amenities needed. The owner/manager was very responsive to all communications. A bonus was that the neighbors across the street that own the dock to the right, when looking out to the lake, were very friendly. We used Aloha boat rental. That was also a very positive experience. "

"This is our third stay at this property. It’s perfect for our group: direct access to lake, so many water toys, and a very helpful and communicative host. Bedrooms are small but comfortable. We stay outside most of the time, and it’s idyllic. "

"The cottage provided us everything we needed. It was easy to get in and out and the owner was very responsive to requests. I have not had a gas stove since I was a kid living at home and I found that cooking on it was like riding a bike. It gave me a bit of nostalgia as well.The location was great for us. Close to town, and to our own cottage that is currently gutted. Also easy drive into the Lake James/Jimmerson area - which of course you need to arrive to Tom's Donuts early if you don't...

"This was the cutest and perfect retreat during a hectic week of preparation leading up to my daughter’s wedding. We LOVED sitting out on the balcony just looking at the water. The gas grill made dinners easy, and we even took a spin in the kayaks. Highly recommended. "

"Atendimento não cortês, faltava uma toalha de banho no quarto e quando fui pedir na recepção, disseram e não poderiam fazer nada. Depois de muita insistência, dando a idéia de que poderiam pegar essa toalha em uma outra habitação, foram buscar com muita má vontade. O vaso sanitário estava entupido, durante os dois dias de estadia o vaso sanitário continuou entupido. Minhas necessidades tiveram que ser feitas fora do hotel porque não resolveram o problema do entupimento. O quarto estava com uma aparência de não limpo, porém “estava limpo“, o cheiro de mofo do quarto era muito forte. Quando fui fazer o check-in, o cheiro da recepção do hotel estava insuportável, sem falar dos hóspedes e a região que o hotel ficava não trazia muita segurança. Apto 206."
