Sunset Ridge is the perfect mountain escape where "time stops and memories begin." Ideal for romantic honeymoons or family getaways, this cozy cabin offers breathtaking views of Grandfather Mountain and unforgettable sunsets over the Blue Ridge.

Inside, you'll find a warm and inviting space with a bedroom and bath on the main level, plus an upstairs bedroom, bath, and single sleeper sofa—comfortably sleeping up to five. The open loft provides a peaceful reading nook with scenic views, while the spacious living and dining areas center around a stunning Tennessee mountain rock fireplace.

The fully equipped kitchen makes meals easy, and the outdoor porch invites you to relax under the stars. Whether you're lounging on the deck or cozying up by the fire, Sunset Ridge has everything you need to create lasting memories.

This home is located in the 4000 acre, Leatherwood Mountain Resort in Ferguson, NC. Our guests are invited to enjoy our Horseback Riding program where you can experience the beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains pristine wilderness by Horseback (reservation required). You will have access to miles of hiking trails, mountain streams, stocked fishing pond, community swimming pool, play ground and tennis courts, creek tubing (seasonal), on-site restaurant with active live music & event calendar (guest advised to check hours when planning meals).

Leatherwood Mountains has surveillance or recording devices on the property. Our neighborhood is very safe and our property very secluded. For added peace of mind, we have security cameras by the gated entrance and common areas. Individual properties may also have cameras on the EXTERIOR of homes. Please be assured they are not directed at private areas, hot tub porches etc.

Even better than expected

This cabin was by far the best one that we have ever stayed in. The decor was perfect! The view was spectacular! The hot tub was great and I really love the horseback riding.

Breathtaking View

The most well appointment rental we have stayed at! The hot tub was super clean, the beds were great and the views from the deck we're breathtaking! We plan on coming back in the spring. The pictures are a little dark and do not do it justice. If you are on the fence about booking, just go for it! The office staff were also friendly and helpful!

We had an amazing stay at Sunset Ridge. The view is stunning. The trails on site also made it an oasis we never had to leave. We look forward to returning, but for a longer stay!

Just breathe!

Super cute and cozy cabin that requires you to get away from it all. (exactly what we needed!) The cabin was very well stocked. The staff at Leatherwood Mountain Resort was very friendly and accommodating. Jamie was a great trail ride leader and it was fun to talk to her. The sunsets were priceless. Hope to be back!

Hallmark movie just missing hunky handyman

Relatively easy drive. When I arrived it was so clean, smelled amazing, was decorated for Christmas. As I walked around and saw the amazing view and ginormous hot tub I felt like I was in the beginning of a hallmark movie. It was just me and my BFF with the husbands and kids left at home so any man candy would have just improved the view, but no movie worthy relationships would have blossomed. Watching sunsets from the hot tub was a “we’ve made it” life moment. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen stocked with everything you could need. I would stay here again.

Beautiful Home

The home was absolutely stunning and decorated beautifully for Christmas. Everything we could possible need in the kitchen was available. Plan ahead, no grocery stores nearby!

We didn't actually end up staying in the booked property due to an issue with the hot tub. The property manager booked us into a comparable property before we arrived. The resort was amazing and we enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful Cabin!

We enjoyed our time at Sunset Ridge and Leatherwood Mountains. This cabin is pristine, warm and inviting. The view from the deck is spectacular. We took advantage of the trail rides and hiking on the resort property, and the owners were kind enough to let us use the outdoor fire pit at the restaurant with our friends. If you’re planning to visit Boone and Blowing Rock build in a hour travel time.

Spent a long weekend. Beautiful weather and the mountain views awesome. Made a trip to Boone, Grandfather Mtn and Blowing Rock. Drove on the Blue Ridge Parkway. All in all, we had a very nice 'birthday' weekend. Home is beautiful. We used the hot tub every night. Overall, very private and peaceful.
