"We have stayed a few times but before the hotel was closed for a few months we always enjoyed it here. We got into the room and the TV wasn’t working properly, staff did come to try fix it then the maintenance man. He couldn’t fix it so said he would speak to reception and ask for us to be moved, we waited an hour then went to reception the message had not been passed on. "This was one of the best places I have stayed in a long time. The look of the Ribchester Arms, when we arrived, was impressive. We had a very large room and bathroom, both very modern with a 'fridge and juices, milk, drinks and biscuits. The staff were very helpful and looked after us. Breakfast was freshly cooked and pretty good. We ate there a couple of nights and the food was wonderful. A recommended place to stay ."

"The room was clean, comfortable and well maintained with good decor. The bathroom had a powerful shower and enough room around the basin for your wash bags. Lighting in the bathroom is always an issue for me (!) so as usual I had my mirror on the window sill in search of natural light. We ate in the pub on the first night, sharing a platter. Good menu. "Lots of onsite parking and hotel adjacent to the pub. Very pleasant staff all round and good selection of beers. Food was good quality and very hot. Breakfast was great and a wide selection to choose from. Our room was ground floor as requested and was nice and warm. Very large bed and whole room and bathroom was excellent. Great value for money and will definitely be back on our next trip to Wigan."

"Cheap and I suppose you get what you pay for, but the room wasn’t fully cleaned and dirty bedding left on the floor when we arrived, along with clean bedding which we had to put on the beds ourselves. Also a proper maze to find the room. Not enough sockets in the room. The shower rail fell off and I had to put it back on. The breakfasts and staff were great though"
