Bayside Retreat Family Friendly, Private.

The ultimate gathering place! Centrally located, yet in a private neighborhood. Just minutes from hwy101, and minutes from either Eureka or Arcata. The house is a perfect jump off point for adventuring, and is the perfect space to come back to. Spacious and spread out, multiple wings of the house allow for privacy even with a larger group. Multiple sliding doors lead out to the many outdoor and patio areas, making it perfect for an indoor outdoor flow. The backyard is private and fully fenced.
The space
Spacious and inviting, the house is fully stocked with the essentials for your stay in beautiful Humboldt County. Multiple living spaces make it perfect for families and larger parties to gather and make memories in a private and peaceful setting. Ample indoor and outdoor space allows you to take full advantage of Humboldt’s temperate climate. Each bedroom is equipped with a comfortable and clean place to sleep as well as bedside tables and plenty of storage space. The quirky bathrooms provide a great shower or bath and lots of space to store toiletries and other personal effects. Wifi strength is best in the living room and surrounding spaces. There is a smart TV in the living room that is logged into Netflix, Discovery+, HBO Max, YouTube.

There are two distinct wings of the house. The East Wing includes the main bedroom with a luxurious CalKing mattress, large walk-in closet, and bonus vanity. Next to the main bedroom is another spacious bedroom with a king-sized mattress. A full bathroom with tub and stall shower are located in the East Wing. Separated by sprawling living spaces, the West Wing contains two bedrooms, one with a queen bed and the other with a full, the laundry room, and another full bathroom.

Sliding doors throughout the house allow for easy access to the beachy sunroom and large backyard. Enjoy the bar located off the main entrance, and unwind in the two living spaces with plenty of seating for a larger party. There are tables and chairs for up to ten guests to sit and enjoy a meal. The kitchen has plenty of countertop space to cook, all with sight-lines to the living and dining areas, making it easy to connect with the guests in your party.

A public park with a 0.5 loop that winds through new growth redwoods is located just down the street. The neighborhood is extremely safe, and the neighbors are spread out enough that The Retreat feels totally private. There is plenty of space to park in the large driveway and carport including room for a trailer or RV.
Guest access
Enjoy use of the entire home, including the backyard, carport, and laundry room.
Other things to note
*Cleaning fee is set to $125. Occasionally, there have been glitches in the past on the platform that set the price lower. Please note this and let me know if you see any discrepancies prior to booking.
*$40 pet fee is applicable per pet. If we find signs of a pet that was not listed in the reservation, we will charge you after your stay.
*pets cannot be left unattended. We would consider a kenneled dog being left unattended, but there are plenty of pet sitting options in the area to ensure your dog isn’t left alone.
*There is currently no hot tub on the property.
*We do not guarantee firewood for guest use. There is a local market nearby that sells pre-packaged firewood etc.
*Please do not use the fireplace n the primary suite
*No parties or events unless previously discussed with the host.
*There are a couple steps (shown in photos) that may limit accessibility for some guests.
