"Breakfast was awesome! Beautiful view from our room!"

"The property was beautiful. Stream runs through the property, and we did a bit of fishing but no luck! All staff was friendly and accommodating. Amenities were so NICE! We used two of the hot tubs, one by the creek and one on the deck, very nice! Sauna was in use so unable to use. So many lakes close by! Lots of hiking areas. We did picnic on the grounds. The only negative was breakfast was the same for 3 days straight and the egg casserole was rubbery, bacon and hash browns way overcooked...

"This place is wonderful. Each room is unique and fun. We stayed in the Victorian room. I thoroughly enjoyed soaking in the tub, warming up by the fire and access to our own balcony. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast was tasty. The hosts are lovely and really spend time getting to know the guests or leaving you alone, whichever you prefer. The room was very clean. There is a lot of knick knacks and that can feel a little overwhelming, but mostly just fun to look at. There is a guest kitchen...

"Felt like we were the only ones there. Themed rooms, our room was the Victorian style. Big bath and huge shower, the room was a great size. Our bed was a sleep number bed which was great for two people. Breakfast was a grab and go breakfast, good variety, the only thing hot was hot water. Safe location, it was maybe 10 mins from Walmart and even closer to a grocery store. "

"We arrived after 9pm. Mike was so kind and helpful in showing us where to park and taking us to our room. The room was lovely and clean. It had a kitchen, which we did not use. Breakfast was exquisite. Mike was an excellent host and we would definitely go back. "

"Frequently stay in the Fairplay area for work and the Hand hotel has been by far the most enjoyable place to stay. The other option (Riverside Inn) has always been extremely noisy and the staff don't seem to care much about customer concerns. The Hand hotel staff were excellent and it was convenient having the cafe down-stairs... just be aware it isn't open every morning, but there are other options close by. It is a historic building so keep that in mind when booking."

"The house is very old and cool. There is a lot of history available to read. The parking is on the street in front but feels safe. The advertisement says that breakfast is offered, but that is very misleading. There are two creal options and a loaf of bread put out. "
