"We booked this house for our party of 12 including adults, teenagers, and young children. Everyone enjoyed the beautiful decor, serene location, proximity to activities, and included amenities. The kids loved the arcade game and pool table while the adults were grateful for the well stocked kitchen. When several problems popped up (electrical upstairs and missing bedding for the rollaway bed,) the call center arranged for a quick response. Deer were spotted around the cabin and the fire pits...

"This was such a treat for my little family. Located way up high in the mountains and deer everywhere. Super cozy and clean!!! Loved being able to have a fire for smores. Gary was super responsive. Quite a gem!!! "

"The surrounding area to the property is gorgeous and has great potential for a nice place to get away; however, the lack of information prior to arriving was a bit of a let down. Firstly, there was no indication before arriving that the place we would be staying at was currently in the process of being remodeled. "This is a spacious home, with a beautiful front room that faces a pond. It's in a very relaxing location. Furniture is minimalist, could use an extra chair. On this trip, my sisters and I spent 3 days there and went to Barter theater to watch "Frozen." My nephew enjoyed the fishing. Great place, great show. I would recommend this place to anyone looking to relax."

"We decided to try this place instead of a hotel and it was such a a great idea!! The place was very inviting and relaxing...clean and updated with everything you could possibly need for a travel stay! We will definitely stay here again when we are in town!!!! Absolutely wonderful!!!!"

"Our stay at the Great Escape Lodge was fantastic! The house is a magnificent historical structure. All rooms were ready and perfect for our arrival (bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, etc...all perfect). We grilled and shared stories and good laughs on the back deck. The living room was perfect for all of us to catch up after a day of activities and share our adventures. Key for us was how easy the owners made everything for our stay. They even went the extra mile to be sure we had directions to...

"We enjoyed the quiet lovely house up in the mountains. We enjoyed downtown Boone and hiking up Grandfather mountain. "

"We arrived and were extremely happy with the choice of this home ! Had a party of 8 with 6 kids ranging from 11-17 and this home for everyone comfortably and some !! Plenty of board games for the kids to stay busy, plenty of tv for everyone to watch their own shows and the layout of 3 floors was awesome !!! Top of the mountain almost with awesome views !!
